After 12200 miles, I messed up and dropped my R and now I need a few things. Not a lot a damage but broke the front brake lever, clutch puck and put a few minor scratches on the right pod. |

Ebay for your lever, bar ends and axle sliders and case savers to minimize future damage and hide what you already have.Make sure vent hole in clutch puck is clear. |

I really wish someone would start making these out of Delrin or some suitabe hard plastic. Al? Al? Calling Al... |

I bought a spare puck off eBay for $7 inc postage. Another one went last week for $30 including the decal (not fitted) which I was tempted to pick up too as I could've fitted it "upside down" but in the end I decided one spare was enough. I already have spare levers after fitting some (chinese) short levers earlier in the year. |

do you have the '08 or '09 revision clutch cover? If '08 design (rev. A) is still on your bike, check out grandstanddesigns for some metal covers to replace the standard plastic ones. works on the stator side as well. |

Pete from GSD is developing a Rev. B clutch puck that should be significantly cheaper than the stock replacement part. I believe it should be ready soon. |

Yes GSD will eventually have a Rev B puck. As of last week they were not started yet. Pete does not have any Rev A pucks (fits stator also) in stock either. I'm still waiting for both..... |

As of last week they were not started yet If they knew the market for this piece, they would NOT be dragging their heels. } (Message edited by fresnobuell on June 28, 2011) |

Pete said he was waiting on mats to make the first one, and was hoping to have a test unit made about 2 weeks ago... stuff may have showed up late delaying start. may need to rework a couple revisions. Probably just trying to make sure it's right before releasing to the masses. patience. |

I have an 08R. I swear I can recall someone machining these out of aluminum but I couldn't find there thread. |

Yeah, luckily I have the axel slider already but I will definitely look into getting some bar ends. |

^^^ Yes Pete at Grand Stand Designs had pucks for the 08 (clutch and stator are the same on the 08's). He is currently out of them. I had them listed on the other forums and on Ebay for sale for almost two years. When the Rev B cover came out the original puck wouldn't fit so the sales slowed down as no one wanted only the staor puck. They are CNC machined from 6061 Aluminum. 0.1" taller than the stock plastic units for more crash protection. Fits 08 Rev. A clutch cover and stator cover and (09-10) stator cover only. Does not fit Rev B or C clutch cover. Availible in two colors; Anodized Aluminum and Anodized Black.

it'd be nice if there was a stator cover to match the big puck on the clutch side. looks unbalanced |

if the stator puck were "oversized" i think it might end up being more leverage on the smaller opening. which could end up multiplying damage to what you are trying to protect? if the opening were revised (like revB clutch) then the larger would make more sense. IMO. but i'm not a mechanical engineer so take that for what it's worth... |

That's the one I was looking for. How do I know what clutch cover I have? I have an 08R that has had no issue with weeping or anything else. |

Father - borrowing pics to show you the diff between RevA and RevB: RevA (thx puzzled): RevB (thx Extreme6669): so if you have the smaller pointy case with the weep hole in the case itself - you have RevA and the GSD pucks will work both sides. if you have the larger puck with the weep hole in the puck itself - you got RevB. hope that helps! GSD can help you out either way (as soon as RevB is ready we are all set)! |

hopefully those gsd pucks have a weep hole in them. it definitely needs that to breath when the plunger moves. the rubberized coating in my puck is a little separated from the puck and you can watch the air move it around by the weep hole every time you pull or release the clutch |
