I woke up this morning and as soon as I heard the outside temperature I started to gather my gear. I checked my tire pressure, ran to the gas station, filled up with gas and air, and headed down to the Cuyahoga Valley. The roads were just a bit greasy so I took it easy and parked at Angel Falls Coffee Shop in Akron. From the time I woke up until I sat down for a Cappuccino, I felt like a kid on Christmas! She ran like a top and even though I was just cruising, I was thrilled to be on such an incredible machine! Some days feel like a kick in the teeth, this morning I was bathed in honey by the grace of God.

I didn't know that you could hear the outside temperature.

I know I can hear rain and wind.

when I was a kid - grew up in Highland Hts...took Rt 6 to 174 (Falls Rd) south into Chagrin Falls - the river road was a great way to have fun - looks like you're a bit south of HHts, try 91 to 87 once in town look for N Main (Chagrin falls) head North on River road to Rt 6 - enjoy it while you can- the riding season is too short back there. Have fun - Good Luck!

It was beautiful from 06:00 until about 08:45. I rode to work and spent the last ten minutes in a steady rain. I actually work in Chagrin Falls and sometimes ride River Road at lunch time, it is a nice trek. This morning's forecast on Fox 8 was for clearing later this afternoon, the current radar has me thinking I am going to get pretty wet on the way home but I am still not going to complain.

When I woke to thunder, I didn't bother with the bike today. I did get a nice ride in Saturday afternoon, temps pushing 50 and partly sunny was good enough for me. I won't get another ride in for at least two weeks due to the job and this effed up NEO weather.

I was just hoping for two decent days last week to get out for a before and after dyno pull/exhaust mount. Naturally I would have no such luck.

Last year my bike spent April in the shop for the voltage regulator. Hopefully she keeps running this year, knock wood.

I waited it out until 6 PM at my office in Chagrin Falls and chose to stay off highway primarily due to the pools of water that tend to develop on Route 8 between Rt 303 and Steels Corners. It was drizzling at worse and my leather gear kept me about 90% dry. It was still warm enough to be comfortable. Tomorrow & Thursday looked like good days to ride, as of yesterday, but the forecast keeps changing...we shall see.

If the roads are dry, I'll be riding the area South of Peninsula after 6p on Thursday.

Steels Corners between Blossum and Akron-Peninsula is my favorite local run: nice sweepers, good road surface, good visibility, and no cross traffic. If only it was about ten miles long instead of one.

You guys should plan a ride to SE OH. The area south of Peninsula is good for local, but that doesn't really compare to the better roads in other parts of OH.

I am organizing a group ride for Sunday May 1st to run Route 94 to Mt. Eaton. I have read good things about this route. If anyone is interested in joining, let me know.

I rode about 90 miles yesterday afternoon. Cold, but at least the roads were dry.

It runs all the way north to Brooklyn as Ridge Road but is really interesting just SE of Doylestown under the guise of Mt Eaton Rd.
