I guess..

You gonna be in the shop this weekend? Need to get going on the bike. Missed a front caliper on ebay as well as a cooks exhaust.. caliper went for $105 with some road rash on it and the brand new pipe went for $212 bucks! yikes! : | will pick up some brushes thu or fri, they need to be brass correct?

To anyone reading:
I am currently persueing a front brake system and an exhaust system for '76 honda cb550. Same era sohc four front brakes should prolly suffice excepts for the 750's. 300/400/500/550 etc needing a working caliper and more then likely a master cylinder as well.. the exhaust will only be for about '76-'78 cb 500/550 ya never know and I figure it cant hurt to try..

Fuscat...

No plans... may work on the race bike... you are welcome to come over Sat Sun or both. Rain or shine!!!

brass is first choice... if you can't find brass... stainless will work IF we are VERY careful. Try metal by the foot. I think I saw some there.

Sam...

Call me when you get back!

MOBBERS...

Please realize the roll of raffle ticket I have only has 2000 tickets on it.

PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE

Buy early and buy often. One tire to raffle in June, and another in July. June tickets only good for the June raffle, so if you want a chance or four on the July tire raffle you will need "fresh" tickets for the July drawing... Which I will start selling Immediately after the June drawing!!!

I will try to have some raffle tickets on me when ever I am out and about on bike related doin's. So... if a Mobber or wanna be Mobber catches me at the Drags... I will most likely have them with me... or stop by my place, or wait until the night of the June BRAG meeting... I'll fix ya up!!!

A tire for you... (Dunlap Sportsmax 205, 170/60ZR17) and some funds for the club... a win/win situation!!!

Hey Mobbers, the 19 & 20,a week from this sat.,a guy im working withs son is racing at Heartland in Topeka. He races a Ducatti, his dad is interested in our Buells,he has never ridden one,so Im planning on letting him take mine for a spin to see whats up!Anyway im planning on going there Sat. to watch the races and meet his son,I guess he's won some races, from what his dad tells me.So if anybody else is interested we can get the details straight next week. There will be Buells racing also,he son told him, that at the last race,he was having some pictures taken during the race, wasnt paying attention, and a Buell passed him.It took him 2 laps to overtake the Buell,if the Buell had just a bit more HP,he wouldnt have,at least thats my story and im sticking to it!It would be cool for a dozen or so Buells to come thundering up to the event,NOTHING sounds like our BUELLS!

This Sunday morning is the "Ride For Kids" at Maple Woods Community College...

Registration starts at 7:30am and ends at 9:15am.

2004 is the 20th anniversary of this ride and also the first time in KC.

Hope many of you can make it, we do need someone present from the group for the raffle of the Honda Motorcycle.

I will be busy spending my time that day as a volunteer.

This ride will be done by 12 pm...

FUSCAT IS THE MAN!!!

Short version... long version to follow

Nice day...

think I will go for a ride.

exit I70 at Oak Grove

Ride to the city park

notice XB corners VERY strangely during the low speed turns.

Stop at stop look at rear tire

Notice all the air in the rear tire is missing!!!

Realize NO BODY will find me where I am.

SLOWLY ride 1 mile plus on tire with no air to local QuickTrip.

Look at cell phone directory

call Fuscat... "What cha doing?"

Fuscat... "Just got home, what cha doing!"

Me... "leaning against my XB in Oak Grove and looking at the flat tire! Got time to pick me up and take me to the house to get the CR-V and the bike trailer?"

Fuscat "Sure... give me directions!"

He not only picked me up... but he went with me to help trailer the XB!

THANKS!!!!!!

Who would have been next on the call list?

Jeff

then

Bill

then

Paul

then...

my 80 year old mommie!!! Sharon was unavailable.

the bad news.... I only got 5645 miles out of the original tire on my XB. I was hoping to get 6000 miles!

I think with the chunks that were beginning to come off the rear tire with the very slow 1 plus mile trip to the Quicktrip... I was not going to make the additional 355 miles to roll over to 6000 miles!!!

OH PAUL... I am using my Eazy Rizer bike lift!
