Pariah, That's true, the adjuster would have to be very thorough to to do that, but it could happen. |

you could paint the whole ecm, that way it would look "legit". |

Or, better yet, paint this on it: This might deter the adjuster. But also: or maybe: could work, too. |

The real question is would it matter? Most insurance adjusters are too dopey to know what's going on anyway, and if they did have a clue how would it change the fact that your bike is stuffed under a Dodge Caravan? |

Indeed, this is an implicitly morbid and very likely a pointless discussion. But it's late and I'm seeking entertainment... |

hahaha... that's just goofy to even think about an issue with the insurance company.. WTF!!... sorry, but I have at least 2 friends with 700rwhp+ cars (I mean, cars with roll-bars and gigantic superchargers) whom wrecked their cars.... Insurance company paid them little money for the car (because they were older) and they bought them back to sell the parts... no biggie, zero. |

The Erik Buell Racing ECM has to be the best mod I ever did to the 1125R. The stock ECM even with the latest flash does not even compare. |

+1. My bike runs great with the stock ECM, but runs fantastic with the Erik Buell Racing one. |

What have you guys noticed in terms of an increase/decrease in fuel consumption on your regular street use? I wanna take the plunge, but I like getting over 36mpg if I'm careful... I get a warm feeling inside. |

I saw in increase in mileage - even with bumping the AFV's up to 105. But then again most of my time is high speed with little or no stopping. |

I got 48MPG on my last tank with the Erik Buell Racing ECM on my 08, vs a typical 45MPG. My 09 CR also sees about 3MPG more on average with the Race ECM than stock one. 210 miles before the gas light comes on is a wonderful thing |

I agree. With the Race ECM you will get an increase in mileage. Not sure why. |

At least 3-4 mpg worse, but it is still the best dollars per smiles investment I have made lately. I have about a 350 mile loop I take to watch the guys racing at Willow Springs Raceway which includes Freeway, rolling two lane roads, and some aggressive mountain roads. My averages- 08 1125R Stock (not the latest flash) - 45 mpg TwinMotorcycles mapped ecm - 41 mpg Race ecm - 40-41 mpg depending on which injectors I have in the bike. I think the 09 targeted injectors "might" be worth an extra half mpg, but I think I like the feel of the 08 injectors better. The targeted injectors will run like crap on either the stock or the TwinMotorcycle ecm. |

Wow...I only ever get around 38 mpg on my stock ECM...maybe I ride it too hard! |

Bertman is giving Froggy a run for the money. I'll never see anything better than about 39 in the Winter. I'm lucky to see 38 in the heat. But when cracking it open and playing around I get about 34. |

Froggy, 210 miles before the gas light comes on is a very lean thing |

Iīve got now "Other Super Ball" tune in my R and I have 31-34mpg. I wait to get Drisīs tune, when he come back from Bonneville and get mapping finished to our velocity stacks. |

Very lean? Doubt it. I don't have wide-band O2 sensors and a dash mounted readout, but it doesn't feel even remotely lean like the stock ECM did, and I get better fuel economy than stock. |
