Does anyone own one of these Buell Turbulent Jackets? I'm looking at getting one online but haven't seen one in person. http://www.libertyharley.com/buell/gear/purchase_o ptions.asp?PN=99462-08BM I found some on eBay for about $239... Opinions? Dave |

I just got one. Seems to be very nice. Only complaint is the reflective piping doesn't looks that reflective. This is my first bike jacket. Curious to how tight it should be. |

If you are a tall person, the sleeves will be WAY too short. I'm 6'1" and the large fit me in the chest, but the sleeves were about 3-4" too short. Even with gaunlet gloves, it was too close to even consider. 2XXL was the closest for sleeve length, but then it looked like a freakin parachute around me. As I recall, they only come in standard sizes for short people. Tall or longer sleeve is not an option. |

I purchased a new Black and Grey Bolt Jacket for $104 from a Dealer in Ohio (PM for Dealer). Good Jacket, used it in cool weather without the vest liner attached, and it wasn't to bad, for me. http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/apparel/product.as p?Menu_ID=1&CategoryID=4&ProductID=10063 |

I wouldn't buy any product made in China when I can buy a good jacket made in USA. I am so tired of US dollars going to the ChiComs |

I just got one and I'm happy with it. Lots of venting, so its not as warm as some leather jackets, which could be good or bad depending on what you need. The sleeves are a little on the short side for me, but not too bad. If you're looking for crash protection you don't want it to be loose, but (obviously) not restrictive either. I think TSI in Ellington CT still had a small and a large in stock, but I think they wanted $300 |

Thanks Tbenson, I called that dealer and they said they only have one left and it's a XL. Too big for me, but I still want one of those bolt jackets. If anybody knows where I can get a good deal on one, I'd love to know. |

I have one. It's perfect for what I want. Only complaint is HD colour choice (black). Got it through St Paul but by phone. Found out their store price is lower than their ebay price, bonus. Basically all your jackets are made in China, tough. This one is good quality. It lets a lot of air through so it's a good 30°C jacket, it's cold below 18°. Buy tight and you'll get about 15 mph more top end. Zipper joins to adventure pants. Wasn't wearing that jacket when I crashed but the same style padding saved my bod from more serious damage. Large fit me perfect: 6', 190 lbs. (Message edited by Iamarchangel on November 21, 2009) |

All jackets are not made in China, do a little research and you will find several ones made in USA. Bates, Johnson, Vanson, Fox Creek to name a few. |

Actually, I wanted them made in Canada. Joe Rocket and Nexo are Canadian based but they don't manufacture here. |

I have some Joe Rocket stuff, its made over seas just like just about everything else out there. It has the same type of ce armor in it. It may even be made at the same plant. I also have a Turbulent jacket. Its of about the same quality. It has the best venting of any leather jacket I've owned. The only problem I did have with it was that the left cuff was to tight and when I tried to stretch the leather the snap popped off. I bought a kit and popped on a new one a bit farther out. Its no problem now. |
