All in due time. I promised to heal the sick and raise the dead, but when I attempted walking on water, my shoes leaked. As it is, ignorance is bliss here in the peanut gallery, but someday we'll all get the scoop. I can wait. All kidding aside, by the time I know, you will know. |

Indian closed in 2003, was bought in 2004 by a Brit equity company and now makes new bikes in N.C. Sure, all cruisers. We can watch it's progress in this market. |

Sadly- .... Speaking of the new Indians... If Buell manufactures and sells motorcycles outside of the Harley umbrella 98% of us here on the Badweb will never be able to afford one. . Keep what you have running ...... your next bike will probably not be a Buell even if they are available. |

Wesman, That same thought has occurred to me. I think it might depend on how much of the existing Buell technology HD will sell off. |

Court, I went to work for my dad at about the same age. He gave me the same advice. |

I may not be in the two percent that could afford one........but I would sell a whole lot of stuff and take out whatever loan I needed to in order to get one! WHEN (not if) Erik builds another bike, I WILL buy one! carry on. Tim (Message edited by snub13 on November 04, 2009) |

If Erik is able to go on his own and builds bikes, I would also think the prices would have to be high, due to low volume. If someone else buys in, Indian, China, Rotax, American, Victory, Yamaha, etc. the prices may be able to stay around their current levels. Of course, we are all in the guessing game at the present time. I bet there is a gag contract on Erik and his crew. It may be a while before we learn the true story. Probably covered in Court and Dave's third Buell story book. REX |

Picture Erik becoming the American equivalent of Bimota... Actually, when he first came out, that's EXACTLY what one of the trade mags likened him to... |

There is no second book. Court is so good he went straight to the third, a feat exceeded only by Chuck Norris whose first book published will be his fourth. |

I want to be a part of Buell in whatever way I can and see it rise from this opportunity. I fell in love with Buell motorcycles the first time I saw that Valencia Orange Scg on Buell.com, and the story only gets better from there... I lost that bike the other day. There's something elegantly simple in the technology behind Buells that no other manufacturer has been able to replicate to my liking. I just want my bike back... |

Glad to read you came out ok! Also not always the case, but more often than not the shoes are dragged off either at impact or when you land on the ground. You don't realize it, because you are in the middle of an accident and seeing your life flash before your eyes or are out cold. |

Dang, dude! That's some serious crash! You ATGATT at the time? I'll check Va for an orange scg. My dealer sold one about two years ago, maybe he's got a line on it now. |

Hmm...race only bikes... Not exactly thrilled. I guess it's a start, but I really hope it's only the beginning of something much bigger that leads to street bikes. |

In these tough economic times how many jobs are saved? I hope lots, I lost a job in the crunch of the early 80's and it took about 9 years to get back to ground zero, it is a tough climb back and I hope the folks at Buell do not have to go through it. |
