In the new issue of Motorcycle consumer news there is a small article on a new Aprilia. The motor is a 77 degree 450 cc V-twin that they claim will happily rev to 14,000 rpms. |

Must be one hell of a short stroke. Did it give any other info on the specs of the engine? |

No bore or stroke nor weight, but its smaller than a lot of single cylinders. |

Dyna, That's the motor they are looking to put in a motocrosser or Supermoto (super motard). Sounds like a good base for a LSR bike!

Dyna...I was more impressed (saddened) by the results of MCN's Twin Cam engine survey. Damn, now I own two bikes with high incident rates of failure due to design, metalurgical and machining problems with their engine internals. Whine, sniff and whine some more....LOL |
