You tell me!!!

I apologize first and foremost to Kevin, the delay was completely my fault. If you have questions about what I did put them in this thread.

The charts you are seeing are the very first run stock, versus the very last run with the Drummer.

The bike had 600 miles and two trackdays on it between first and last run.

Let Kevin know BadWeb!!!

PS I will post back to back to back...etc. dynos tomorrow to prove that this pipe will consistently put these numbers up.

You want one, let Kevin know, the list will be loooooooooooooooooooong!!!

Holy crap, what a difference! That's a huge chunk of power from nothing but a pipe. I'm impressed!

Pretty impressive. That's an understatement. Look at the improvement over the entire curve, not just top end.

However, what's up with the baseline run? 109HP, 65 tq is low--esp the HP figure.. I know the baseline is for comparison to the Drummer run--are we to believe that Drummer is adding 24 ponies and 11 ft/lbs of torque?

I hope so....and I better be on top of Kevin's list. I remember responding the the list thread minutes after it was posted!

Great results! Is your dyno always that conservative?

Same dyno operator?

What were the ambient conditions each run?

No air filter change?

What did the A/F lines look like?

Can I have one?

Just Curious, Wasn`t the stock 1125 putting out approx: this amount of Horsepower, around 128-130?

Torque I think was about the same no difference there?

Not sure so just asking???

Not trying to start a war, but about 24HP just for bolting on the pipe? Sorry, but I doubt it.

What happened with the stock run? Looks like the airbox was full of rags.

Why not do back to back runs with stock vs. Drummer on the same day? Did you?

Details please.

Yes my dyno reads extremely conservative. This baseline was the FIRST run on the stock bike(consistently reads almost 10 horse lower than every other dyno out there) The best stock run we got was 116hp, which still means this pipe adds a huge chunk of power.

One of the reasons for the delay was that I was waiting for the weather to warm back up so that conditions could be as close as possible to the day that I did the original dyno. I knew no one would believe it, but these are real deal numbers. There was no sense in doing back to back stock versus the Drummer the bike would have had ZERO learning on it and would have showed way lower and the lines wouldn't be smooth at all.

I'm looking at them and still don't believe the difference, I knew it was going to be significant but not this significant.

Chris,
My bike, bone stock, logged about 126 hp at Liberty as did another stock bike that day. That being said, I am told Gainsville's dyno is low about 10 hp plus or minus. Its the difference that matters. Same dyno, same operator, same bike for the above tests.

How long do you think it takes for it to "learn"?

A good learn on the bike is probably anywhere from 100-200 miles.

However I felt that the bike kept improving the more I rode it, and didn't want to cheat Kevin with a poor learn on the ECM, so I went that little extra.

Whats hard to get your (my) mind around is what is Kevin doing to do what really no body else is- making "more power" with a pipe. Most other systems are noise makers only- yet this one seems to actually make power.
Notice the A/F values on the lower part of the charts- sweet!

SCHWING!!

Oh yeah, I should mention that AF line is 14.0:1, no major change across the entire range.

So.... It's ready?

YEAH!!!!!

At the risk if asking an obvious question, but just to make sure...

This was with a stock Computer? Both ways?

What did the AFV crank up to after learning?

Inner airbox on?

A huge thank you in advance to Kevin, and to Buellgator!! Any way you slice it, this is THE piece of equipment to have on your bike.

Just awesome.

Thanks Buellgator,

Not denying that the pipe may make power and don't want to come across as a non believer. I just feel that if someones going to imply that a bolt on pipe makes about 24HP, the dyno runs should be on the same day or close to it, with enough "learning". Not 600 miles, a few track days and a few months. A lot can change.

I know you were waiting for the weather and the pipe to learn. I just think that the comparison needs to be more of a fair comparison. Just my opinion. I sure there are plenty that just want one and don't care. Maybe you are planning something more.

Not trying to cause waves. I know this is a happy day for many.

Dentguy, the only way that could be done it to have 1 ECM "learned" on a pipe, and another stock, and swap the pipe and ecm for each dyno run on the same day.

I say, Good enough!

yes it was a bone stock bike other than the pipe. it hasnt even been denoided.

like Paul said, the best stock run was 116. i know i personally would like to see what the 116 run looked like as compared to the best run for the drummer. i think a showing of best to best is needed when we can get it.

all the numbers may be a bit low, but you have to compare then for the amount of change, not the peak number of the change. mine(only time its been on the dyno and still with the stock computer and no updated reflashes) read 121-122 and i cant remember the torque. so that 17 horse gain still puts me near the 140 mark. obviously every bike is different and so are the dyno's. but run for run on the same dyno is a good comparison especially when all the other perameters are as close as you can manage(temp, ect.)

What did the A/F lines look like?

thats the blue line across the bottom of the page. i cant see the numbers in those pics, but i do know what the rest of the page looks like and it is running right about where it should be like Paul said.}

First of all, I would like to thank Kevin for all of his hard work on this pipe and Buellgator for his time and energy in getting the dyno results. Even if you guys had told me the pipe only picked up 2 hp, I probably would still buy one! The fact that there seem to be some significant gains is just icing on the cake.

Second, are there any pictures of what the pipe looks like??? I need to be able to start dreaming about what my bike will look like soon!

Great work and thanks again!

Someone with lots of time on there hands needs to do a exhaust shootout .get all these pipes together get a couple stock rs together and run em on the same dyno same day.that would be a dream come true to see what pipe has the most potential.I hate seeing these pipe on all different dynos
