Yes, we are preparing Foxy. My brother recently had back surgery and is staying with us. He has had a walker and a cane. It only took a few days for her to stop barking at him. Don't worry, the new Rottie will Love you. |

Hey Brian, I am so glad to hear that everything went well. Always glad to provide entertainment, even if it is at my own expense (and it usually is). I hope that this procedure works out for you--I would hate to miss riding with you this year. Anyway, best wishes and we'll see you this summer. BudC |

I got my walking papers this morning, but I need to be still and heal up so that they can install the permanent pump. It was really hard to sit still when I was feeling so good (better than I have in years) and the weather was approaching the 70's. Unfortunately this means the pain will be back withing the next 12 hours or so now, but we know that the pump will work and I can't wait to get it installed. I should (finally) be able to rack up a respectable number of miles on my Firebolt this year! But I still won't be able to hang off in the corners. Next stop in the quest to get my body working properly: stem cell research to re-grow the nerve and repair atrophied muscle tissue and dental implants or dentures to repair the teeth damaged by long term oral narcotics use. I'm betting the dental work happens first (unless I visit a third world nerve clinic and let them monkey with my spine...yeah right) Thank you, everyone that posted here and wished me well, and those that wished me well without posting up here. I seriously appreciate it. You all are like an extension of my family,(does that make me cousin It?), and I'm really glad that I found this group of great people that just happen to also love Buell motorcycles. A special thanks goes to Blake and his Merry Men that keep the board up and running so that we can continue to verbally joust, help each other and give each other a good natured ribbing now and again. Bud: I had actually forgotten about the barrel until it was mentioned here, and you would think I was mad at you if i didn't give you a little bit of a hard time I didn't even mention the "BAS" problem you had at Blackhawk did I? |

Bud, mea culpa. I've had my own share of "stunts". Someday I'll share a few of them. |

Hey Raven, we kept it going, so it isn't your burden to bear alone. Bud has been a good sport about it and and even if he wasn't I wouldn't leave you dangling on the hook by yourself. It's all in good fun. You've got a new Rottweiler Toni? I can't wait to meet the newest member of the family! Ginger (our Golden/yellow lab mix) is still getting over my being gone to the hospital and has taken to laying across my feet, like she used to after we first got her, so that she can keep tabs on me. She gets up every time I do, and follows me around the house. She's pulling double duty looking to me to comfort her and trying to comfort me. She is such a sweet girl. I figure in a couple more days she will allow me a little more space. I think if she wasn't so insistant about directing people where she wants to be pet Ginger would be a great therapy dog. Congrats Brian, sounds like a nice improvement in the "quality of life" department. Hope this lets you ride more and smile more (if that is possible). Very glad I got to meet you last Homecoming. You are an impressive character. Zack |
