Anyone ride with the Buell Turbulent leather jacket? Pros, cons?

Not too cool in hot weather, but in cold weather it's a breeze. But that's the price you pay for looking cool. I really like the jacket though. The collar is my favorite part, hey wait a minute what collar?

Its a piece of crap jacket. I used the $650 Buell credit to get one over the summer and had it for a week before the little zipper notches started to come off. Then I returned it for another one and the button on the sleeve ripped off. It was nice and cool for the week I owned it. Its made in Korea and is not worth the price. The Harley dealer eventually let me use the credit towards a Vanson Buell Racing jacket and this jacket is amazing and worth the extra $200 over the Turbulent. Vanson is slow as they custom make the jackets to order. Mine took 3 months to get.

I got it with some instore credit I had and that's the only reason. It fits nice and has decent protection plus it's well vented.

I'd just go with a much cheaper mesh armor jacket for summer use, although the turbulent does have buell logos on it if that's your thing.

I like mine. I picked it up during winter last year and wore it for the entire riding season. I've had no problems with it at all. The only 2 jackets I wear are my Buell Vanson and Buell Turbulent jackets. Vanson for sub-60's, turbulent for anything above 60.

Buell just announced its new mesh jacket for this season. Saw it at the dealer show, it's VERY nice. Might have to replace the Joe Rocket mesh that was cut off me last summer...

Buell UK gave me one of those mesh jackets to write a review on. They're really nice bits of kit despite me only really feeling safe in fully armoured quality leathers.

This month AT is featuring owner articles about the X1. The one I've written is an illustrated 'how to guide' for cutting down the timing cover.
