Hey Beach,

I'll be watching responses to your post carefully

the only set of Buell-specific Marchesinis I've ever seen was on DustyKat's red-stripe X1 [listed for sale here awhile back]

they were sourced thru Mr. Marchesini himself while Dusty was the Buell parts king over at Custom Chrome Inc -

with Bimota now owning Marchesini, who knows?

I've always wanted a set myself,,,,,,,

The early model S1's came stock with them. Thats what I'm really looking for!

ah, I see

what I have in mind is the current, lacey, 10-spoke design

I'd neglected early-Buell lore concerning 3-spoke Marchesinis

you'll have an easier time finding your style than I will mine......

I **think** all S1's came with Castalloy and PM wheels.

My friend has a 96 S1. WP forks, PM calipers and Marchesini wheels (notice the M stamp on the wheel blade).

No doubt that is a Marchesini. They may have been on some of the early S1's. I'd have to go back and go through build sheets to find the VIN where the change was made to Castalloy.

Good pic of the wheel. The tough thing to find were spare MARCHESINI stickers and the mushroom plugs.

Don't I know it.

I hit my front S2's front wheel with brake cleaner one day (stupid me grabbed the wrong can), and just about wiped all the lettering off. Grrrr. I've been looking around fleabay but haven't found the right shade of blue just yet (white wheels, blue lettering on the decals).

I do, however, still have all my mushroom plugs. They're yellowed and pretty crusty looking, but they're all there!
