First thing in the morning I am picking up my 50th B-day present to myself. An 08 1125R. Hope I can sleep! This is the 1st B-day I've really looked forward to in a long time! I want to thank you guys for all the info I have gained on this site. I would like to know if there are any Buell trained(1125r) in the San Francisco bay area.Needless to say I am highly stoked and ready to log some miles. Any body in the bay area who can help me out please don't hesitate. I am considering doing all maintenance myself.Penninsula HD threw in a service manuel at my request. I have been riding better than thirty years(HD) and this is my first road rocket.I do know what I,m getting into and I welcome it!!!Maybe I,ll get back on tomorrow and add to this. Enjoy all! I sure will! |

Congrats! Loretta, my 1125 that I got in mid-December, was my birthday present to myself last year. At 53 years, she's the best B-day present I ever got. I even made it official at Homecoming.

Sounds great Greg! I've never regretted my 50th b-day gift to myself - my XB9R. That was 5 years ago. The 1125R purchase in late last year was a gotta have! I got it and haven looked back in 9000 great miles! The 1125R will be special to you as my XB9R is still special to me. |

Shoot Firemanjim a note. Their shop is at Sears Point. He and Terry can't do ALL the work but I'm betting they'd do MOST of what you'd need - plus they can surely steer you toward a local dealer that'd treat you right. Also, you really have to be willing to travel a little in order to go to a dealer who truly CAN service the machinery. |

Hey ya'll I,m back with 298 miles on the odometer. What a flippin great bike? I am smokin happy! I have a question my 2nd and 3rd gear howls in decelleration. Is this normal? Will it break in? Has anybody else experienced this. I was a little alarmed at first but put 300 miles on it anyway. The Pacific Coast Highway is one of the worlds greatest rides between Carmel and Cambria Ive heard. The fire damage is not as bad as I thought it would be thankfully.Anyways guy Ill talk at you later. |

I wonder IF the howl you hear is actually intake? Kinda hard to TYPE a description of a particular sound but when I did the Inside Pass, she definitely had an induction howl. |

The howl is more than likely just the belt, mine does the same thing with 1100 miles on her, just nature of the beast..but who cares about decelerating this thing is made for ACCELERATING!!!!!... |
