The purpose of this thread is not to preach or admonish anyone or start debate. It is simply to state that we should all do everything we can to protect ourselves on the roads. Think twice before doing that blast up to 100, always be on the survey for danger. A good friend and riding buddy of mine lost his life yesterday, Fathers Day. He leaves behind 2 children, and a fiance, not to mention countless friends. So very tragic. It goes to show us all how easily life can be taken away. We all choose to take our lives in our own hands everyday, so be careful out there. This is the first time I've lost someone close because of motorcycles. So weird. http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/0616 08/spo_291309685.shtml |

Sorry for your loss. I lost a friend and mentor in 2004. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about him. Be safe out there. |

my condolence and my prayers for him, his family and his friends nautique. always seems harder when you lose a family member or a friend. i had just got back from california a few years back when the next day my mother called and said my sister's husband was killed on his motorcycle. you just never know what's gonna happen or when. |

John, I am sorry for your loss and the loss of a promising young life. We also lost a rider here in Pinellas/Pasco county last night. I'm beginning to hate the phrase: "According to authorities, the bikes were traveling at a high rate of speed." http://www.baynews9.com/content/36/2008/6/16/35736 1.html (Message edited by Zane on June 17, 2008) |

Thank you for sharing. I, too, feel for those left behind and will pray for the family. I lost my best friend, riding partner, hotrodding compadre, and father-in-law about 18 months ago and it still hurts like crazy. |

Thanks all for the sentiments. Zane: on the overused phrase. Sadly, I'm sure it is true more often than not. |

Damn, hate to hear that. It especially sucks for the family... tragedies around holiday's are the worst. ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on June 17, 2008) |
