I have an '98 S1 and I am running a Buell Racing pipe/muffler and want to switch to the Force Streetfighter sytstem. I am not worried about the loudness, kind of want a little more noise. I am just curious what other people think about both systems and if anyone has done back to back dyno runs w/tuning on them. I am running a 1250 cyl. kit, Nallin Stage 2 heads, 536 SE cam, SE intake, and an HSR 42 carb. Any feed back will be much appreciated. |

Sound like a pro stock race car at idle. I love it. You will have hearing damage if you ride with out earplugs. |

I have the Force pipe but welded a drag pipe baffle into into the Force baffle to provide a little more back pressure. Had no effect on the sound that I can notice but helped on the low end |

PM Tattoodnscrewed. He changed from the Force to the Buell Race header. Considering some of his associates at Buell, his advice should be given serious consideration |

Ive got everything i need now as I bought a header Friday and am waiting on my Supertrapp to come in. Plan on removing my Force pipe, putting in race ECM and seeing how it runs in this mode. Also will do some fine tuning on the FI. |

I think I am going ahead with the Force exhaust and I am just curious how many of you guys are running the black and how the black holds up? Also are any of you guys running the baffle? Any pics of the black setup on a bike would be nice to see also. thanks |

Mine is wrapped in black with only the silver megaphone left - so I can't say anything on the black pipe .. but I do have the street baffle they offer for it - really does nothing to quiet it ... all it is is a 6" or so perf. tube - no packing or nothing - really doesn't change performance or the exhaust note - not enough to warrant spending the money on it anyway ...(I took it off and noticed no difference) |

Soo loud that I am looking to see what other muffler options I can weld in place. At idle its loud. But through tight towns or parking lots - makes noise and draws looks. Car alarms! I often hold back on giving full throttle or using the RPM band becuase of the noise. |

Try welding a drag pipe baffle into the Force baffle. It provides some back pressure and some noise reduction but only at idle. Sounds just as loud when I'm on it hard. The additional baffle does reduce the popping when you back off the throttle. |

When I had my tuber going I couldn't stand the noise. I welded on a bracket and adapter so I could run a wileyco pipe. Wrapped the pipe but the black color held up fine-even after I took the wrap off. I wouldn't wrap it as I think wrapping reduced the weld integrity on such a thin pipe. It sounded very good with a wileyco behind it, and gave excellent throttle response. It always felt to me that with the force pipe the bike was hard to tune/ride. On or off so to speak. I had a similar set-up to yours mik 42, 10 over pistons, 536 cams... |

Are any of you guys that are running the Force pipe having running problems below 3000 rpm? I have the Force and Race ECM and it cuts out when trying to accelerate from below 3000 rpm. |

my x1 as well will want to cut out below 3000 rpm in a higher gear, but just bang one down and hang on. i hope the baffle would help but i cant see how much because the baffle has a straight through hole in it with a strainer type 6" insert that actually goes in the pipe. if anyone has used the force baffle with success i want to know, just not sure if its worth putting holes in the force with my race ecm, carbon intake and force pipe with a tune from the previous owner put 90 horses and 81 foot pounds to the wheel. im young so the noise is awesome and my buddies love it as well. i have the baddest twin the in the neighborhood thats for sure. |
