I use a 8900 series Penske I bought used here on the BadWeb. Every Penske is custom valved for the weight and riding habits of the rider. I made sure my weight matched the weight of the rider I bought it from. Results? Spectacular. If you need specific info, ask away. I hear the Works Shocks are also very, very good, but I have no personal experience with them for this application. |

I had the Works shock (and Race Tech Forks) custom built for my 99M2 and the difference is worth every penny and more. My only complaint is the time and difficulty to change the preload. I tell my wife I need 24 hours notice if she is going with me on a weekend ride. I have two track days scheduled this year and I look forward to having them help me set it up. I bought it from American Sport Bike because Al is the best vendor ever. |
