Bking, I got mine on ebay a few months ago for $650.00. You just have to keep looking. It took me about a month to find the deal but was worth the wait. It was less than the standalone Drummer and I get to keep my old pipe should I want to go back. |

I found some complete micron systems new for 699 to your door. Now my new micron is out to be jet hot coated. My spec ops was a great can, but it looks like it is on its way to ebay. |

I ran the stock pipe for the first 5k then i built my own custom pipe, 8.7k now and i still love it. My custom pipe is a modified XB12R pipe so it breathes as good as a drummer and performs about the same as a Spec Ops because i left the interactive exhaust valve intact. It is quieter than a drummer or Spec Ops And probably not much louder than a stock Xb12r pipe... Here is the link if any one is interested... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/267863.html |

Stock (and ORANGE), I have my Firebolt with the race kit. Besides the Uly is for relaxing/touring/pitbike.....(its hard to ride in the paddock late at night if its loud) So I like it quiet. Now if buell made a high performance (stealth) muffler....I'll take one! |

Hello! I have had my Ulysses for a few weeks and have put 1600 miles on it... Am I correct to think that the stock pipe gets a little louder over time? |

Stock muffler. I can't hear it over the fan, the bottom is almost all rusted so it should be getting louder soon |

The Micron system should be here in a few days! I can't wait to have a smooth bottom end! Also have the custom map on a race ECM coming from AmericanSportbike.com. Al was very helpful. |

Stock system. My 98 S3T has the factory race kit on it and even after several repacks it is WAY LOUD. Some of the low life's in my area have even stated "that is the loudest Harley I have ever heard". |

Ah, I am the original here...I'm running a Jardine Carbon Fiber exhaust. LOVE it. Looks good, sounds good. I know it needs to be repacked every so often and don't care. I too, have asked my neighbors and they could care less. The sound isn't very loud if you have the throttle partially open. It POPs like crazy when decel with high rpms. I'm not sure what Sanjuro means by his comment. I have personally witnessed loud pipes preventing an accident (maybe not a life, but surely a collision). Lastly, the comment my buddy made about my exhaust after he first heard it is interesting...He said the Uly's looks make you forget about the Harley motor, but now that it sounds like one the connection is more obvious. |

I still have my stock muffler. Been giving lots of thought to a Drummer or? I've yet to hear an other XB Buell with an aftermarket exhaust so I'm still waiting to make my decision. Plenty of Harleys here but no Buells. That being said it would be nice to see someone make a pipe that was maybe 30%-50% louder than stock but not as loud as the current pipes. I want some more sound without being offensive. David |

Drummer, and I like the sound though it does seem a bit loud in town. Riding sanely in town however doesn't elevate it anywhere near the levels of the "look at me" types riding with open pipes, fishtails, and 4/1 racepipes. Splitting lanes on the freeways with the Drummer and the Hellas ablaze definitely works to my advantage. YVMV... I do wonder why my Drummer is as loud as it is though. Three Buells with Drummers rolled into the Rock Store Saturday, they didn't bark like mine does. |

Drummer. Sounds way better after about 500 miles of use and is a much better tone that the race kit. On top of that, the overall useful range of the Drummer is a better match for the motor. |

I love the Termignoni! I have about 2000 miles on it now and it really sounds good; better after the miles were put on it. I just had the 10K service done. The TPS, Idle and Static timing were off, new spark plugs (different spec) and air filter (the bike was running like crap) and now I can really feel the difference with the pipe. On the way home yesterday I hit and indicated 130 mph and the bike was still pulling like a freight train but I had to back off due to the windy conditions. Once the bike hit 5K rpms in top gear I could really hear the pipe (it has an exhaust valve) and it seems to have added quite a bit on the top end as far as power goes. |
