My bike is in an area where I will need to have it covered overnight. Is there any reason not to cover it while its still warm? Do I have to wait till it cools down..? As I write this it really seems like a silly question, but I'm always looking for opinions. |

If you get a cover near hot header pipes you could melt/burn the cover. |

There are no silly questions, only silly people! If cover is vented and fan is off, there should be no problem covering a warm bike. just watch out for headers if cover is tight. |

If you spit on your header pipe and it sizzles then don't put your cover on the bike yet. Spit is easier to clean up than melted nylon, plus a hole in a nice cover just ain't pretty. |

some covers are re-enforced with temp resistent areas along the lower half. might look for one of those... |

Sky, yer yellin. Congratulations by the way. About the cover...You could give it a half hour or so after riding to cool off. That would be your best bet. By then mine's usually safe to cover. |
