Hey Nancy and CJ, Wes here.... Yea, leah's hand healing is coming along nicely. Don't know if you know the whole story but she really tore up her left pinky at a road race at gingerman on the XB when she clipped a curb. Didn't heal well, so she went into surgery again last month and had an implant (I must say, i was a bit disappointed). she now has a plastic finger joint...that squeeks. Its healing very well and she already has full movement back. May be a little while before she gets back on a roadrace bike as crashing again this soon could do some serious damage, but she is totally stoked for the drag race team. We are building a tube framer for her from the battered remains of my old road race X1 that should be ready to go by the first test and tune session at GLD. July 5th for a Buell Drag homecoming sounds awesome. WFO |

It sounds like you guys and girls have things firmly under control. Just make sure you contact the track to set up your respective plans way in advance(murphy's law and all that). I am excited for you. You have your race supervisor...the person who will be talking/showing folks the ins and outs(ups and downs) of racing. You have the track and the date picked out. Now you need to start pushing the heck out of the event to see how many people will commit. Make it a big ol' party. You could even get some "I DRAGGED my ass" T-shirts made up. A hootenanny is what I imagine. Good for you. You guys are the best! |

"it would be fun to have the dyno drags at homecoming!" That would be another interesting event to have during homecoming. One of the sponsoring shops could contact the Teresi people. I am not sure if they would do it on such short notice. Better get to calling around, you guys. I like what I see. You folks taking the inititive and getting your own party started. Excellent, and yet it takes nothing away from the main event. |

i just spoke to jill in fremont who is having the dyno drags there in april, it costs about $7k plus insurance. the email for Alan Cabral the contact i was given by Jill is dynodrags@yahhoo dot com, can one of the sponsors look into it, apparently there is a schedule listed on easyriders website that i cannot enter from work, and it seems there is an opening during the homecoming....too cool, let's get er done!!! |

Why have the Dyno drags at a drag strip ??? you'll pay way less to just drag your bike. If you want it dynoed it can be arranged for a Dyno brought to the drag strip. This is our drag strip here in Wisconsin. www.greatlakesdragaway.com |

quote...Why have the Dyno drags at a drag strip ??? Yea, that seems goofy. Besides those "dyno drags" are really not too impressive |

Dyno drags are typically held at a dealership and sponsored by said dealership. I am imagining 2 seperate events. Dyno Drags one a different day than the Drag strip. Preferably before the drag race. Good practice on cutting a light and quite a bit of fun. The more fun the better right, And the more fun, the larger attendance, typically, anyway. |

Pammy if this gets done it'll most likely be during Buell Homecoming. Lil Scott AKA Lsc is a pretty good connection for getting something done at the Drag Strip. Having a Dyno drags at another dealer at 7g PROBABLY won't happen or a doable thing. But I do know of a Dyno and I think Scott is speaking of is www.firehouseperformance.com, that I have done some business at a local show that I have put on. Now they will most likely have no problem doing this for us. |
