With mixed emotions, I'm upgrading: I can't wait to see what the 1203cc engine feels like in the XB frame. I enjoyed the XL motor on the S2 and S3 I had but this should be fun. Don't get me wrong I loved the XB9R, but the price was right on the XB12R. I'll be parting out the XB9R, sad day.

Going from this:

I'll be interested to know your experiences between the two after you get some miles on the new bike. Congrats!

Actually the white plastics might be going on the XB12. I have got to see what works for me and my taste. I'll post whats going and prices when I take it apart very soon.

Labor costs for my time will be determined and run thru my wife.

Why are you parting a complete bike? Was it crashed or something? Seems like it would be easier to keep it as a race bike.

I'd swap the white bodywork (it's the fastest color ;)) and the silver wheels onto the 12.

But that's just me

i could use a good set of white plastics to replace the ones that i wrecked and that are now hidden under the green paint. and maybe another back rim for some burn out tires!

why would you want to replace your streetfighter bodywork Tim?

It got more attention than any other Buell at homecoming.

The bike has not been crashed. I want some parts and I'm making it the donor bike.

I'd first like to traveling with my wife to the 50 states on a motorcycle. Maybe after I do that I'll pick up racing on the side.

It makes sense to me for now.

I'd bet if he was to swap plastic he'd also swap the plastic trim piece around the fuel fill cap.

I would be interested in the Rear Sub-Frame and Plastic Tray. I want to convert my Lightning rear to a Firebolt.

i love the way it looks now, but i still miss my white once in awhile. it just looked clean. its nice to change things up once in awhile you know. i have my extra black set sitting around now that the blue is back on the other bike, but every set i want to use has to be chopped first and its fairly time consuming and im being lazy lately lol.

Picked up the 12 on Saturday, it is a 2004. The XB9R is being pieced out now. I'll move this over to FOR SALE classifieds section this week. I'm PMing those who have asked about certain parts here. If you've not heard from me PM me and I'll get to you.

THE REVIEW... initial:

As for a comparison. OH WOW, just got off a 20 mile ride! Both bikes have the race kit installed on them. The clutch seemed a lot easier to shift on the 12. I haven't pushed it with the new bike yet, but initial reviews I can give you are that is is one powerful beast. Just riding on country roads that bike brought me up to 60-70mph with ease. The 12 seems to put out more heat on my legs than the 9. I did noticed more vibrations in the seat on the 12. I'll use the bike more for commuting to work so I'll not go with the super sticky tires but I'm sure I'll have fun with it anyways as I have with the 9R.

Good day!
