hit the start button and nothing,sometimes have to press it 30-40 times before it just fires up,not sure if theres a short,or ground problem, or starter bad,... any help please not sure were to start

Start simple,

Tighten battery cables.

Check relays for good contact. Swap them around and see if problem goes away

Clean contacts at starter switch.

warranty is your friend, assuming you two didnt part ways already.

otherwise yes keep it simple and check connections.
I may be a little strange, and obviously a little crazy, but theres never a dull moment!

ok thanks still under warranty,have to stop up by dave at appleton HD today anyway to have tps reset,picked up race ecm from dave and drummer from kevin,hopefully the rain holds off for awhile today

same thing is happening to me sometimes it will crank and stop and i have to keep hitting the switch for it to start....05 xb12scg here also...

yeah i took the throttle assembly apart and cleaned off the wire on the back of start switch working fine now,seem to be water getting in
