when are you going to get a full size bike. A guy today that dosent even have a bike said this to me, and i almost lost it. I was like, um do you realize that its almost 1000cc bike, not a 500. People make me mad! | ||

I was with a couple of the 3%er's outside a restaurant in Atl. getting on our bikes when a guy comes up and asks New12r, 'Wow that is a tiny bike what is it a 500?' New12r wasn't amused and told the guy, nope it's a 1200cc and the one She's on is a 1000 cc's. Talk about a mastercard moment :} (Message edited by mtnchld on February 03, 2006) | ||

Real riders don't need it explained to them why a short wheelbase and a torque tuned motor are a serious recipe for fun. I take it as an opportunity to explain it to non riders. I don't fit on an SV-650, the tank flare is way too short. But I could not fit better on the XB9sx. If they are being rude about it, I just point out "I didn't buy the bike to impress you". | ||

Buell_892 -- I made that Elim myself, I actually cut the plate mount off of the "left overs" and re-welded to the bottom so i didnt have to drill holes in my undertail, I can send you more pics if you would like. | ||

I had a bunch of hyabusa guys tell me my bike was slow. I just told them to remember that when this slow ass bike rips around them in the twisties. Although by looking at their tires, I would venture a guess that none of their bikes have ever even seen anything but a straight road. | ||

Hey Ratyson... I think I still see some chicken strips on those tires of yours....  Just messin with ya. Haven't been able to wear mine off either commuting on the interstate everyday. I had a guy in Lake Geneva, WI tell me that I should be riding an american bike... not that Jap Crap. I pointed to the tank decal and said "•••• Off." (It should be noted that Lake Geneva is only about 30 miles from East Troy, WI.) | ||

i had some girls pull up beside me the other day at a stop light and go why are u wearing a harley coat on a crotch rocket. we are a block from the damn dealership with the harley and buell signs. all i did was point that way and they saw the sign and are like oh. i mean they have to drive by there almost everyday and still cant figure it out. and yes i wear a harley coat on my buell. so shoot me. good leather is good leather and its saved my skin a few times already. and the $0 i had to invest in that brand new harley coat seemed like a good deal to me! |
