I`m sick and tired of my big,old,fat Buell seat and tail section!Is there a way to put a `97 seat and tail on my 2000 M2-I don`t mind a little cutting and welding if nec.Anybody done it,does Airtech make one?I never see them on Ebay.I already have the tank.Also where can I get Molten Orange spray paint-I can`t do anything with the touchup kit beyond pinhole size,anything larger resembles a bad case of acne.

One of the regulars here put the old tail section on, I think they said it just bolts right on.

If you WANT to cut and weld get a S1 twin tail and seat.

You might check under body and paint in the knowledge vault...

SLim M@ tailsection will bolt right up to a Y2K frame, no problems at all

there was a change to the frames, where the rear section joins the main portion of the frame, but it amounts to a couple er three degrees, which sometimes leaves the frnt of the seat (the part that looks like a tongue) pretty hard up against the tank, but it fits like it was designed to be there . . . . . .

My 2000 M2 tailsection just cracked. This might be worth looking into, but I kinda like the big butt seat.

The slimline M2 (I really gotta have coffee before I start typing) is great for twisties stuff -- lots of room to move around and weight the bike the way you want --

the larger seat if definately easier on the heinie, though ;-}

me, afgter I'm numb (about 90 minutes on the little seat), I don't really get number (numberer?)
