Chicago to West Bend is about 128 miles per Mapquest. And for those of you who need to score a few brownie points, there is a West Bend cookware store in town. Anyway, here's a couple of pics/maps. West Bend H-D/Buell is past the Perkins restaurant and just past the Chevy dealership on the north side of the road. You'll see their sign from at least 1/2 block away. And watch for speedtraps on I-45 northbound, there's a couple of hills that the staters like to set up on, one just past Germantown, one just past the 41/45 split (take the Y to the right unless you know the backroads and like a couple of curves), and a couple more regular radar set points just over a few hills past hwy 60 and just past Paradise road. There's also a 24hour Wal-Mart off Paradise road in case anyone needs oil or anything. See you there. |

Ok everybody saturday is the last chance this year to watch the Roger adventure story, ie, will the bike break down, will i crash, there is always something going wrong, but this will be the last of the WI series i will be at, during the last event i will be on vacation so will not attend, so dont tell me how fast you are or how well you ride or blah blah blah, put your money where your mouth is and meet bomber and myself at HH, if you want breakfast its 630 am, if you just want to ride it 730 am sharp, sometimes early, so dont be late, its fun its free, and you might learn something, later Roger |

Roger, see you & Bomber sat. Talked with the Buell rep who was responsible for setting this series up & he wants to make it an annual deal. I talked with him about including northern Ill also & he said thats his intentions for next year. Bigger & better...ya!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where the hell was Bomber today? Thought him, Brent & Bobby were coming out to Blackhawk? You guys missed a great time. Only had a few mishaps, 1 semi major & the others no big deal. Just about everyone ran off the track at one point or another. Sam, I want to thank you & the guys at the shop again for a great time today. Definately need to do it again. |

What happened DYna????Track is kinda ruff in spots, to many cars use it, sounds like it was fun maybe next year, as long as you were able to get home i guess it all worked out, but you did have a tow truck so, hopefully everything will be in order before sat, see ya then, look for the bike with no faring Roger |

Roger, the mishaps didnt happen to me. Some guy crashed his old FZE yammie & a ZX9 went down pretty hard off of corner 7. I went offroad racing a few timesBut managed to keep it upright both times |

Hey all, Track day was very cool.Did pretty well. untill after lunch ,when corner 1 taught me a lesson i don't think i'll forget. Ouch... falling down kinda sucks! Sky grass sky grass sky grass...it happens rather quickly as i've come to find. Oh well, i've now joined the ranks of such crash experts, Bobby, Brent, Dave, and the infamous Rodger. See you next meeting. Latter Steve |

so Steve are you joining us for battle trax, since the bike is a little tweeked, put on the old shifter and come out and play, not like your going to hurt anything else, but as long as your ok, thats really all that matters, what damage, what do you need, i have recently got some deals off ebay and may have some parts you are looking for, or is it bad enuff to let the insurance man take care of it?? let me know Roger(notice no D) |
