I remember DaveS posted a question here a few months back asking how many of us would be interested in buying race ECM's if Buell produced them again. Today I searched and found a recent post from Court where he says the tuber race ECM's are available again (based on BadWeb input).

Does anyone know details? How much? Can I go to my dealer and order one? Buell.com doesn't mention them under the tuber accessories.

Give DaveS a call. I think he has them in stock for right around $200 if I remeber correctly.

Are you talking about PN 32680-96Y? I put this one on my S2. Works well with both lightly and highly modified motors!

Can you be more specific about which bike model this would be for, since the wiring changed between various models?

They changed the part number to a Z---- something.
I have them in stock.
List price is 215.00
Badweb price is 193.50

It is an ECM not an ignition module like the S2 would have

For that money why not invest in a daytona twin tec, or one of the many other adjustable ignition modules.

The adjustables APPEAR to be a big unknown. It seems that MAYBE (testing is being done) the best adjustment is back to stock.

That's one reason...and I stand ready to be corrected.

Well it's not an ignition module, it's an ECM for fuel injected bikes.
I like the plug, reset the TPS and go ride of the race ECMs.
Some like the install, play around with settings,do a couple dyno runs, play around with the settings,do a couple more dyno runs, play around some more and maybe finally get it right and then go ride.
To each their own but I like to ride, not fiddle around looking for that last 1/8th of a HP at 3561 RPM but that's just me! YMMV

I just went to my local dealer and bought a new Race ECM. $215 + tax. Part #Z1037.K Apparently at one time it was a Screaming Eagle number and now it is under a Buell number.

It was never a screaming eagle part number, as it only works on Buell S3s and X1s, not HDs. The part number did recently change to the new format number. Buell screwed up when they discontinued this part, several of us reminded them of this, they brought it back. Kudo's to them.

I'm with Dave on this one...If you're going big, changing cams, porting heads, etc., then you need something else for fueling. But if all you're doing is airbox mods, exhaust mods (especially only a slip on), then the race ECM is absolutely the way to go. Other than the TPS reset, it is plug and play.
