They were there on St. Patty's day. My folks and other sisters were there, too. I'm feeling a bike trip coming on. My mother was a big fan of civil war era romance novels.Two summers in a row, we spent our vacations there. Touring the plantations, Ft Sumter, and some fabulous beaches. I also found the people friendly too. Go Char Go! Pettigrew State Park was really cool... with the large cypress and NO ONE around after dark... I got a little nervous when I was told that the beavers get up to 85 pounds in this park in the piedmont...
