I like the Pink Ladies Roller Derby group on skates. Lotta marching bands that sounded great, including a Marine band coming through first. A St. Tammany Parish family do, not the Babylonian spectacle that happens next week on the other side of the lake in New Orleans proper. Okay, a couple of transvestites tossed extra beads my way . . . We went back to the parsonage and quaffed cold Abita Mardi Gras Bock, eating Zappa's Voodoo Gumbo Ltd. Edition Potato Chips. Today's word is lagniappe, pronounced lan-yap. It's the extra tradespeople and merchants give their customers in the relaxed atmoshpere. Like when you leave Louie and the Redhead Woman and they top off a go cup with sweet tea for the road. We are around 'til Tuesday, Whatever, and plan to strike a pose at the Cafe du Monde sometime. It's our invite if you have time. And, if you are soon heading back to Cheeseland, we have a guest room at the other end of the house with it's own bath and laundry. You can hang out in the fenced back yard with my Mrs. (I call it Kate's Silver Cloud Lounge) and sample the wine, beer, and smoke what you like. One of the Harley riding LEOs was pretty friendly when I told him my Buell was faster than his Harley (probably because he knew it was true)... I didn't say that to the one who had the Honda though... Funny thing about the Pegasus...
