I'm looking to get a new pipe for my wifes blast. Anyone have any suggestions on what pipe works well on that bike.

You can check in the Thumper knowledge vault, lots of info in there.

I put a V&H slip-on on my ex's blast and it sounded and looked great! There seemed to be a big power increase but it was mostly in the top end. The pipe is a lot louder than most I believe.

Current exhausts are: Vance and Hines, D&D, Pro-Series, and Jardine. Past makers include: Force, White Brothers, Bub, and Kerker - Whileco is the unobtainable - all the rest now discontinued for one reason or the other. Custom units are not unheard of - the Thumper KV covers most of it pretty well - give it a read.

I saw a blast just recently that had an interesting dual outlet exhaust. What kind of pipe was that?

That's the factory Pro-Series pipe.

IMHO, it will not give you the most top end, and not the lightest pipe out there. But, I thinks it fills the mid-range nicely, and is the most robust. I've run one on my bike for the lat 15,000 miles or so.

I had the Vance and Hines also, I loved it. It was loud, louder than a lot of twins.

I heard this nice sounding bike at an intersection the other day. I saw a Blast but at first I did not realize that was what sounded so good. When I got on the highway I looked to see what pipe he had when I passed him. It was a V&H. If I had a Blast I would look into that pipe just for the sound.

I too was impressed by the sound of the V&H. I test rode one and the note was SWEEEEEET! Power was good too. I was impressed at how the Blast moved by 230 lb lardy butt

I've had a Bub (old style), a Vance & Hines, the Pro Series, and a coddled up Cherry Bomb on the V&H head pipe.

Pro Series, hands down. Good sound. No packing to worry about - so no maintenance. Robust. Nice power everywhere. Only downside - it's robustness comes with a weight penalty. You ain't racin', so just live with it.

Unless you're racing and trying to do something really specific, just go with the Pro Series.

Most power: Force, WB. Most torque: WB, Bub. The rest stand in between somewhere - lol

The V&H on my wife's blast is nice IMHO. The blast in stock form sounds too much like a Briggs powered mini-bike : )

I have been very happy with the Pro Series on mine. That and rejet made all the difference in the world.

Are you talking to me? It seems like this site has more than a few Gregs. I would not mind owning a Blast except for the size. When I rode one it just felt like a kids bike to me. A nice kids bike but still really small. I am a goofy looking guy with long arms and legs and I just felt downright cramped. That is partially why i love the CityX so much. The seat height is taller and feels far better to me. If they were just a little bigger I would probably already have one.}

I had a small cherry-bomb muffler and pipe custom build for my Blast, and it sounds a bit like a machine gun! Cost $90, and is sturdier and lighter than the stock...
