Geek bait! Yeah I'm a sucker for trying to figure stuff out. If your picture has been created by a digital camera it will most likely have an embedded thumbnail. Photoshop adds on as well. As long as you don't kill the thumbnail with the JPEG optimizer you're cool. As this type of thing eats up bandwidth, enjoy it while you can, I've got a feeling Blake won't want to pay out even more on bandwidth, as the BadWeB is getting more and more members and hits per day. Might be able to get him to let us keep them if we can recruit more sponsors. | ||

Darth... it was the Ibook that did it for you (God bless it!). Your profile pic can be any size, you just have to have an embedded EXIF thumbnail in it. Interestingly, the actual thumbnail picture (which in theory could be anything) does not persist, but rather a scaled down copy of the profile pic gets created. | ||

eh, i cant get mine to upload. It says my picture needs to be under 60 KB (its 56) and then tells me that the picture i am trying to upload is "%" kb large. | ||
