Hey Dynasquid,

If you wear something other then flip flops, shorts and a tee shirt you should be warm enough.:-)Oh and bring the R1. These guys ride at a brisk pace.

Regards

If you are riding with Vince on his BMW & the Guzzi boys, then I would have no trouble keeping up with my HD: D

Actually the Suzuki is a 90 degree motor. From suzuki.com
996, four-stroke, liquid cooled, 90 degree V-Twin, DOHC, 8-valves,

Also, the Suzuki weighs a good 30lbs less then the XB. The ultimate Buell would be stuffing that SV 1000 motor in an xb chassis. That said I hate radiators.

Little more difference with wet weights.

SV1000S 485 lbs wet
Buell XB9R 454 lbs wet

PS..dont believe the dry weights you see published, they dont mean squat since you cant run a bike dry, & they are usually way off anyways.

Dyna, can you get the SV650 weight in that table? I think that would really make my point about the SV1000 being a TL1000, not an SV1000. If you know what I mean.

And I looked at the vstrom yesterday... (F&S is a suzuki dealer in addition to being a kick Harley / Buell dealer). That thing is a freaking boat... its huge! What a PITA for any kind of city riding... the USS VStrom...

Reep, the SV650S weighs 428 wet.

And the 97 TL1000S weighed 474 wet, so in theory I would say you are correct.

They're usually, read almost always, way off because there's no industry standard.

Bad@ss bike with monster hp. Very tiny, very flickable in the twisties. For myself it was a tossup between the ZX10R & the R1, the R1 won due to I prefer its looks.

Mike, I dont have the numbers for the M2 in front of me, but I believe they were somewhere around 490 lbs wet. The S3 is over 500 lbs wet & the basic bike is the same.

ZX10R Hope this helps.

Frankly Dyna, how anyone could consider the 04 R1 better looking than the ZX10R. Well only an 04 R1 owner would say that

Dyna lives in his own very very little world.

Facts mean nothing to him. Must be the long winters and lack of
education.

I wasnt aware that the subjective opinion regarding a motorcycles appearance was anything factually based. Perhaps you with your vast knowledge of everything & anything could enable my addled brain to see the light as to how this is conceivable?

Creditable for sure, just not factual.

Maybe M.B. can find some cut & paste in an attempt to prove otherwise?
