Anybody else seen the new intro page(s) at Buell.com ? I think it must have been updated Friday. I don't see where anything on the main pages was changed. Interesting.... |

kinda early for a teaser for the '05s, but they could drag it out for a long time. |

The "Power" them makes sense. "Independence", is righty cool. What's up with that pic for "Attention"? Looks like some bad B horror flick screencap. Doesn't make any sense. "Rebel" just looks out of place. Incongruous.

I don't get it... What's up with the sheep? and the girls driving a European VW? Why not just have a picture of a curvy road and a guy with a smiling face? |

Note that the car on the "Attention" page is right-hand drive. The passengers look like some dude just flashed them! Maybe the guys that did those odd "Mentos" ads came up with this? |

I thought the sheep one made the most sense. The black sheep?.....you really didn't get that one?? Let me know if it needs to be explained. |

Needs to be explained about as badly as a "Miller Beer" TV commercial. Hope Buell didn't contract the same ad agency as Miller. They have the World's Worst Ads. Though I did like the one with the two guys yelling. Reminded me of a few folks here on the BWB. LMAO |

I understand the meaning behind the sheep, I just don't understand why they would use it in an ad. Maybe there will be an all black model this year. |

I dunno if I like it or not, think about it... Attention: Do we really want to scare the crap out of people? Woulda been better to have some chick oogling one of us on our bikes while driving off the road. Independence: Do we really want to be thought of as sheep? (even if it is black) Think I would have rather seen a wolf stalking (or maybe a lone wolf). Power: That ones cool (see suggestion for "independence" ). Rebel: That ones ok too. Kinda what you feel like doing when the uninformed bag on Buells. So I guess that's why I'm not sure if I like it or not. Kind of a fifty/fifty thing. Timbo |

I am new to this whole world of buells, have admired them for a while. I have been approved on my loan for an XB12R, which I test rode last week, and, as you all have said, the grin has not left my face. I am concerned though, With the 05 model year so close ( July?) should I wait? Any thoughts, Thanks |

I'd wait. The people that bought XB9's a few months before the model year debut were pissed that the 12's came out. It's no one's fault really, just the luck of the draw. |

You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. If you wait, you miss some good riding time for what could amount to nothing. If you don't wait you get to ride, but if something big comes out, you'll kick yourself. It's a win-win situation. Or lose-lose depending on whether you're optimistic or pessimistic. |

GAF which translates to GIVE A "£$%. Buy it and ride it. I reckon you get a life, one mind so just do it. Worst case is something great comes out, mortgage the farm or rob a bank and buy the 05. |

I think it's pretty darn lame - but I'm also sure I'm not even close to the marketing segment they're aiming for. Henrik |

and the girls driving a European VW? European because maybe they caught on to the new Buells better than the US did? European sales beat US sales by 36%. I see things being catered for that market since they've sold more over there. should I wait? I didn't, and a few months later they came out with the 12. Not that I cared, but you may. Ya may wanna wait until 2006 though, I hear they're really gonna shake things up. |

There is something on the horizon. It may or may not be a new bike. It may or may not be a new version of a current/past format. It may or may not be new or updated accessories. It may or may not be political. It is on the horizon, the pictures tell more, time will tell. |

Ahhh...Just like in the Computer and Consumer Electronics industry today's state of the art is tomorrows boat anchor. Only difference is a Motorcycle holds its value much better and gets you into future models at a reduced cost. Ride now and trade up as often as you like. Only the initial investment will hurt a bit. The rest are painless. |

Deerhunter...just do it! Last year I was one of the few that bought a 9 without knowing the 12 was around the bend. Not a bit of buyer's remorse here. If ya like it..buy it..ride it! Still up in the air on the new front page... |
