Anbody else notice that there wasn't 1 ugly woman in the movie? If I went to college where Sam did, I'd have been escorted out of there because of my constant wood. Every girl they showed on campus was hotness.

No holes in the story?

Gee they were looking for a Prime to but yet they had a whole bunch of them encased in the "Tomb of Primes". They could use that piece of allspark to wake up the black bird and to create new transformers but couldn't use it to wake up Optimus Prime? Where did the Transformers come from that were in outer space? When did Tranformers have the ability to become human? If Transformers have the ability to sense when other Transformers are around, why didn't BumbleBee know that that chick was a Transformer?

Those are just a few holes, I'm sure I could think of more.

If your kids meet the recommended PG-13 rating, they've already seen that and much more.

"When did Tranformers have the ability to become human?"

In the first movie the Decepticon helicopter had a human pilot and the Decepticon police cruiser had a human cop.

Yes those, I believe, were holograms.

Indeed they were. You could see them "boot up" on the bikes in this movie.

True dat. Public skooled.

I just contend that the humor was just really really dumb and baseless.

100% true. Sometimes it's nice to have something funny and fun to look at that I don't have to think about, though.

I saw it with my older boys... we had a lot of fun. Huge plot holes, but if you are worried about that you were in the wrong theater.

My kids did keep spotting Arcee for me! : )

Saw it, thought the reviews were accurate - a confused mess of a movie. Loud, lots of explosions, juvenile humor, and those twin racial-stereotype autobots - I never thought I'd miss Jar Jar Binks. Way too long. Overall, a bad movie. I liked the first Transformers, but this one...

The most obvious mistake: (mild spoiler) they're in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in DC, when this robot blasts these huge doors down - and then they all walk outside - to the airplane graveyard in Arizona! WTF???
And another scene at an airbase had the location graphic identify the base in New Jersey - with a desert and mountain range clearly visible in the background. Now, I've never lived in Jersey, but I'm betting there aren't any desert landscapes in view. You really had to check your brain at the door for this one.

And as for comparing it to the new Star Trek - no, no, no! ST was way better, don't even try to compare the two. Uh uh, no way, no how.
This movie will make tons of money, but no more from me.

Midknyte, those type of errors are common in movies, so-called continuity errors. Those type of errors are excusable.
I'm talking about a blatant storyline mistake. I mean, they had to write "They escape from Smithsonian doorway - CUT TO - walk out on desert exterior."
How the hell can you make that kind of mistake?

That Smithsonian to desert thing threw me off too, but I was too busy indulging in the storyline to care at the time.

Damnut I think that "allspark" piece got absorbed into blackbird didnt it? I liked the first one better but didnt hate this one. It is a hollywood movie and as long as you just wanted to see a movie it was great for that. I remember being more let down by the matrix trilogy. All loose ends tied up in third movie, ya right! Oops subject change.

Well, the SR-71 guy *could* teleport. Maybe he teleported twice, and nobody noticed the first time ; )

That makes sense that the allspark was absorbed... thats the same reason the big bad guy didn't keep his as well, and use it to turn metric imported motorcycles into evil wannabe decpticons. : )

Well...I loved it! Optimus Prime is my hero, but I have soft spot for Bumblebee. I even had the little toy camaro when I was a kid...among others I do like the original Bumble bee though, before he became all new and flashy.
Plenty of action, and wasn't really watching for any errors (quite unlike me I must say). The only thing that took me a little by surprise was the decepti-girl. There never was a human imitating transformer, nor should there be.
Thumbs up here...both of them.

They could be humans since 1988.

YES! Thanks Hero, you are King of Geeks. Now I can forgive that part of the plot.

Funny though, for once the director/writers outgeeked the fans! That's simply unheard of!

Was. He upgraded to an old Camaro for the first big movie, then halfway through upgraded again to the new Camaro. There was a teaser clip on the Internet before the first movie was released of him in VW form in a parking garage, caught on a security camera.

They've taken a small liberty with TFs in this new series, in that they can change their alternate form at will by scanning other objects. Not necessarily a bad idea, really.... kinda' brings TF out of the 80's and into the current decade.

~SM

PS: I couldn't stand Cloverfield. I saw all of 20 minutes. Spent the rest of the time puking in the theater restroom.

Bumblebee was a Beetle or an AMC Pacer, not a Camaro. Some actions figures made him transform into a Chrysler ME 4-12 (a non-production car)

Jazz was a Porsche, not a Pontiac.

Ironhide was a Nissan Van(ette), not a piece of construction equipment. He's also been a Ford truck and a Hummer.

Jetfire was a VF-1 Valkyrie OR a Russian AN-225 cargo plane, OR an F-14 Tomcat, OR a Sukhoi-27 Flanker, not an SR-71 Blackbird.

Optimus Prime was a firetruck OR a Lamborgini Diablo, OR a Ram SRT-10, not a Peterbuilt. When he was shown as a semi he was shown as either a Kenworth or a Freightliner.

Starscream was an F-15 Eagle, not an F-22 Raptor.

The movies are still both freakin amazing.
