Well im flying down to Georgia to pick up my soon to be new to me bike. I tried to pick out a few places that I would like to hit and some family along the way. Anyone have any suggestions along the way of good places to see or visit.

IMHO:

Add the North GA "Loop" and a run up 60N out of Suches, GA. You are on part of it with your 129 route.

Add 116 north of Knoxville it is known as the "Devil's Triangle"

need maps?

You could always check out this place. Kind of weird but it looks interesting.

PK- Most definitely, should be a fun ride

Ochoa-it's actually not as long as the one I posted there are alot of waypoints on there that are screwy from editing.

Gregtonn- pretty interesting but I think I am going to pass on that one.

You will be passing right by Deals Gap.

It would be a shame to do that and not visit America's most famous twisties.

Here are the directions from Atlanta:

From the Atlanta area take I-575 north until it ends and merges into the 515. Follow the 515 north. From the 515 take the 60 North/East towards Murphy. At this point the road will have merged with US highway 129. Stay on US 129 North. We are located 18 miles north of Robbinsville, NC.

The official Deals Gap website is:

www.dealsgap.com

While you're there, don't forget the "Cherry Cola".

HERE YA GO
Congrats on the new bike!
There's really nothing like getting to know a new ride, especially the way you're planning to do it.
You're headed straight through the best places to ride in the South East!
How long do you have to spend on this trip?
I'll bet not long enough!
Ride safe, and have fun!
I tried to pick out a few places that I would like to hit and some family along the way.
Don't be too hard on the family ; )

Gentleman_jon- I plan on spending a little time there. And trying to hit the skyway and the dam.

Glitch- Thats one of the reasons I bought the bike in GA, for the riding on the way back. I am leaving on the 7th and have till the 10th to get back as I have drill the morning of the 11th. Thank you for the maps I will add that loop to my fun.

You'll be starting out in my town. Let me know when, I'd like to meet a badwebber and get a peek at the new toy!
You flying into Macon or hitching from the "Atl"?

Ochoa0042: dayyyuumm thats a long ride!!!

What are you talking about? I flew from Colorado Springs to FL to buy my bike at Gainesville HD and rode from FL back to CO with my parents? That wasn't long at all.

(Oh, we also took hwy's only the whole way to CO. No interstate at all.)
