They should have just used the XB as is, nobody would know anyways and it would look alot better than this. Slaughter....what do you do for a living? |

The bike was danged near UNRIDEABLE if you had to turn the thing. Body interfered with the handlebars in almost ANY turning. Funny thing was that the actor was NOT a rider and his stunt double wasn't either. Coulda been interesting! (and I agree, the bike didn't look good "re-styled" by the artists) |

Wow! I won something! I need new plugs too! Also ironic since I ride a "low" (scg, actually.) It was the tops of the forks that gave me hope that it was an XB, and I figured the forks and wheels were CG'd out. PM sent. THANK YOU! |

Yeah - the forks, wheels and visible bits of the REAL chassis between the plastic "chassis" were CG'd into nothingness. The bike actually looked really funky AFTER being painted. All the wheels, forks and body were just flat black. Really looks better on screen than in person! Got your mailing address - the plugs will be in the mail. Plugs going out today UPS (I have had bad experiences with USPS here locally) You should have them tomorrow! Just an update... as I understand it, the producers keep the bike - they MIGHT want another for the vehicle design group. What's scaring me about that is the issue of actually RIDING the thing. Green screen and Computer fakery is one thing... and a rider and stunt double riding on a set for just 10 seconds with ONE turn or just straight ahead riding... but a bike that you'd actually RIDE... dunno. |

You really don't want the aftermarket pieces... trust me. The designer originally sketched out a "look" that worked on paper but it just couldn't be turned. They had to HAD TO compromise by putting stock bars on. Bike really was only built to run about 10 seconds as a "REAL" motorcycle - the rest would be green-screened and CGI'd. If you ever see the movie, it's not a functional fairing - it is all for the look... whatever that was. I'll see if I can scan one of the designer original sketches. They're 11x17 and I don't have a scanner that large and am too lazy to do 2 scans and "stitch" together in Photoshop. |
