This thread reminds me of something we all do at U of M hockey games. When they announce the starting lineup for the visiting team after each name we all yell in unison, "WHO CARES!" while holding a newspaper to our faces that look like we are not watching. So the short of it, evertime I see a post by BMW grrrrlllll (or whatever the pucc it is) I always put up a news paperin my mind and yell out "WHO CARES!" | ||

Spidy, that's strange, I have the same reaction whenever I hear about U of Michigan!  (though I did enjoy them taking out Clemson) 'course, I was watching the Spartans whip up on Louisville, and lovin' every minute. Great entertainment, this. "The XB is a much improved product, although the design is getting long in the tooth." Having owned 17 BMWs, the models from 1955 to 1969 hardly changed a whit. Same from 1977 to whenever . . . Buell's fuel in frame, front brake, low center of gravity and weight in the middle, are going to be tough to surpass in engineering ingenuity. BUT, I expect they will. | ||

Glad you've got a new Beemer, always nice to get a new toy. Please get over yerself. Your dialectic approach to posting here has made you quite unpopular. (I'm starting to enjoy myself, seeing all this, cuz your quite predictable.) Heck, I've got an old '82 R65 that I learned to ride the Dragon on (buzzing ricers regularly). I don't go to BMW sites and heckle them cause they've got an overengineered POS, lording the beautiful simplicity of my old Airhead over them. Not my idea of fun. woophdeedoo. I was looking at the BMW450.... really, really really hoping the Buell builds a Watercooled Rotax 450 cc powered dirt bike (come on Buell!) I do love to show up to the local BMW shop for their ride nites and slide shows/open house with the filthiest bike there, and not a single sticker  They just dont get it or me for that matter. | ||

Isn't the f800 engine a Rotax also? Yes it is. I have owned several Beemers and they were nice bikes. My favorite was the F650GS (the single cylinder version) but the service cost was crazy when it required a valve adjustment. It is a time consuming process. With the Buell XB there is very little I can't do myself on a single Saturday so I have no need for a dealer and more time to ride. There's something to be said about simplicity. | ||

Buellgrll, I am just wondering, did BMW ever iron out the ABS issues? The F800 looks like a sweet machine, I would love to add one to my stable one day. Oh yea, in case you didn't know, there is a tax credit for buying a new motorcycle as part of the stimulus package. | ||

Hey, I think I want her for my new girlfriend. I wouldn't have to worry about any of you guys trying to steal her. I hope she's a brunette, I used to talk all my girlfriends into letting me dye their hair blond (look at the one with the balloon tween her legs). They were idiots, Oh, but not you girl. You ought to see my collection of witch pictures, I'd talk them into dressing up like witches for halloween parties. Then I'd take pictures to remember them by for after we would break up, But NO, I wouldn't break up with you girl. Girl you seem sane compared to them loony tunes. They all seemed sane at first, then they'd break up with me and go get a job at the strip club. But I can tell you wouldn't do that to me. No not you girl. | ||
