Dyna, didn't you know only criminals, cops and politicians are allowed to have automatic knives or firearms in NYC?

Ooops, is my sarcasm showing? I'll just put that back away...

Nothing personal on my desk as we rotate work areas every couple of days, one of DD's new CR pics as my desktop though.

I have a rock that has "Dad Rocks" painted on the top as a paper weight my son made for me. I also have an autographed picture of the Blue Angels from 2002 which ironically shows them flying over the World Trade Centers. We had a store in Pensacola up until last year and we were actively involved in benefits for the military there. I suppose it's my way of reminding myself of that day in 2001.

My desk is kinda cluttered right now, but it'll be cleared off by the end of the month.

Tell me again how the evil oil companies manipulate the price of crude?

A desk??? WTF? I'd like to think there are a lot of Blue Collar Buell owners out here on this site.Blue collars do not have desk jobs generally speaking. If they do, it is rare that it is nice enough to place personal items or "toys" on there. But all you white collars enjoy your desks ok?Us majority blue collar tax payers are gonna keep working. We ain't got time to worry with decorating a desk.

Good for you . . . . I spent years building powerlines for the Grand River Power Authority and Oklahoma Gas and Electric . . . my "desk" was the ROPS canopy of a D8 Cat and the seat on a Williams LDH drill rig . . (I also drilled the foundations for an office building in Southern Hills . . .

Some of us just got so old there was nothing left to do with us but prop us up in a chair . . .

If it makes you feel better Boliver...I work at a desk because I am otherwise mostly used up...26 years of crawling thru Florida attics in the summer will do that to you...I work in jeans, a t-shirt and steel toed boots...my hardhat and welding helmet are at hand. I am still the only fabricator we have, and I still do that when required...so...yeah...blue collar still sorta fits.

Beside the general crap required by job I have two important things on my desk. One is a Candle holder that I use as a pen/pencil cup. I got it on a vacation in Ashville, NC in 1974.

The other interesting thing is my “paper weight”. It started out as a hull spike from the private yacht “Monamay”. She burned to the water line in 1939 off the coast of Fort Lauderdale. Now a rubble pile, if you pick through the remains you can still find hull spikes. That was one of the last dives my brother and I went on before he moved to Utah in 1995.

My Buell/H-D pics are a little further to the left, just out of sight. That's my Rider's Edge certificate on the cork board.

Yeah, I know, you just want more pics of Vamps! Ummm... there's actually three... All in first photo:
1. In between Pc and the stereo is me and Vamps sitting on the bonnet of the Valiant on our wedding day. See the white boots?

2. On the left above the 1125CR doing rolling burnout, that's Vamps in the sunglasses :P

3. Next to that (below 21%) is another pic from our wedding.

Froggy, but you have to fold the prints along with having the plotter. Where some jobs have 15 E Sized(34" x 42"), and I have to print out 3 to 4 sets.... TEDIOUS!

But it does make a REALLY Nice photo printer using the 36" wide 150' rolls of photo paper I have sitting next to it : )

As for those blue collar workers that think this thread discriminates against you, it doesn't. Everyone here has a computer. Even if that computer is used on the kitchen table you have a desk.
I have an office, but I haven't been to it in quite sometime. I consider my home my office.

He is not used to cars with doors!

He is also lucky to be fat with the cancer that nearly killed him ten years or so ago.
