I thought I had ordered some Diablo's for the special front free deal. Apparently, when my tire guy ordered the tire, he called the Pirelli Distributor and the distributor swore up and down the deal was for the Corsa’s (Hardest compound racetrack tire). The rear tire came in and it was a Corsa along with a no charge front shipped along with it. No coupon, no hassles. My plan was to get 2 sets, since I ride 7500 miles in about 4 months. Now I have a set of Corsas to try out with the same deal. Guess I'll still have to use them, Darn!

So, I don’t know if the distributor made a mistake, but still I got a good deal. The Diablo’s are supposed to be the same as the Metzlers m-1, but with more flavors of compounds (Diablos+Corsas). I am sure I will like the soft compound of the Corsas, but my dilemma is: grind Pirelli on the second set of Diablo with the coupon hassle, or just order another set of Corsas with less hassles?

I do most of my riding grinding on the freeway 40 miles one-way commute. Thanks for the advice.

I need to find a participating dealer :( For the price I could care less if I go through them quick.

I love my Metzlers M-1's. Buy 20 sets. Send me six of them.

Found out some more info about the Corsa’s. As it turns out it is a regional deal through PartsUnlimited distributorship. The Pirelli tire distributor said he knew nothing about the Pirelli North America Diablo offer. In Northern California, he said 100’s of tires are in storage. Pirelli must not be selling many of their Motorcycle tires. Slash prices and get rid of the inventory! Happy purchasing.

There are actually a couple of tire deals going on at Pirelli. I actually received the Corsa’s with the same deal. Haven’t tried either one, but I bought 2 sets. For that price, I don’t care if the only last 2K miles. I have been posting on the BadWeb about the same issue. Check out the link on the Quick Board and thread of the Pirelli Tire Deal. Basically it come down to Diablo’s -pay for shipping and you get the front later, or the Corsa’s and get it now.
