It looks like we've lost our 4th of July weekend at Road America for CCS races due to SCCA Run Offs which was the same weekend as Homecoming.

Anyone know when Homecoming will be now??

Just thought of that when I saw the CCS schedule. May be a no race Homecoming next year.

I remember seeing somewhere ("25 Years" maybe) that Homecoming follows the race, not the calendar.

Yea, what a bummer!!

It's really been fun having the Buell faithful in attendance at the CCS races during the Homecoming festivities.

Unless they plan on doing it May 1st, cause that's when CCS races. But with the new class structure of the AMA maybe something's in the works for the AMA weekend?

Homecoming was in June, in conjunction with the AMA Nationals back in '99 and 2000. It was in August for the totally Enthusiast driven 20th Anniversary, and there were no races (but it didn't dampen the enthusiasm; everybody who went had a really good time). The past couple of years, Homecoming has been in July.
I just wish they'd announce a date, so I could plan my vacation.

Crusty,
I totally agree as I was at the 20th and in no way am I stating that the CCS races should dominate the date selection.
But since I started racing, it's been great being a part of the event in another way.

They just may be surrounded around the AMA races again this year. We may be cheering a 1125R in that series. None the less it will be a great time for all. New people running and organizing this year. Hope something shows up soon.

I can't imagine all the work that goes into this event. I have never been to the HD homecoming but I bet that is a real complicated production as well. I bet they are looking at the dates already. It is too big to put together over night.

I have only been to the 25th, Lynn and I had a great time. We do plan to attend next year depending on the dates. It has been my experience that anytime you have more than two Buell riders together it is like trying to herd cats. The event managers did a great job herding the cats.

I did not attend every event but considering all the events like Racing, Plant tour, meeting the Buell employees, Dinner with EB and others, Summer Fest, Buell Demos, Adventure Ride etc it seems there is a lot for everyone.

My personal favorite was hanging out with other Buell owners in the parking lot of the hotel.

I do hope they publish the dates soon.

One thing I;m almost definate on is I doubt I'll have Erik and band play next year. I plan on just doing whatever. I know Court is all gung ho about making it a tradition but I'd like to just hangout maybe this time around.

I don't know when they post the dates, but two years ago when they changed the date to July it screwed me because I have to bid my vacation 6 months in advance.

Looks like I will not be able to attend again unless they get the dates going soon.

Jody - did you do the production work (lights/sound) in-house, or hire someone, or did the band BYO gear? Concert production is what I used to do for a living - if they have gear, I'd be willing to help them set up somewhere other than a bar...maybe the communal parking lot? Or even at the factory, the evening of the tours. Hmm... but I agree, you should be able to chill with the rest of us : )
