It's not mine, FYI. I think that's all I have to say. Discuss. (Message edited by brinnutz on November 26, 2008) |

Geeziz I hate it when folks say "Discuss"... let me decide how to move forward without these directives, OK? that being said, if anyone is daft enough to purchase that thing, and you require delivery to any state in the conti US, lemme know- I;'ll head up to Mass and deliver it to your front door with 60 hours of registration. |

Wow - I thought I was the only one who was peeved about "DISCUSS" - as if it were a marching order... I wanna discuss puppies, good wine and good books, sunset walks on the beach while holding hands - crying at classic movies. How's that, am I discussing now or WHAT? |

Sexy bike, you know 3k is not the reserve for the bike. It would be cool to see a 1125R bike clad like that, that would get me to the water thumper side of Buell. |

Not fans of the old "Coffee Talk" sketch Mike Myers used to do eh? Guess touching his monkey is outta the question too? Those were so wild back then. Reading about them and Erik made me want to design cycles too. Part of that bike's spirit and design lives on in the XBRR and 1125. They'll always be a soft spot to me. Won't likely ever own one but it still brings a smile thinking of the big dreams it inspired. |

The tank might be a big problem. I'll bet that blister is actually a soft spot now in the tank. Need a new one maybe. |

No-Rice, if you're going to judge that thing by those photos and that description, I have a concourse S2T for sale.... i know what the bike is. i dont need an add and some pics to tell me about it. and if i could scrounge the money together im much more likely to have someone i know go over and take a look at it. but with a purchase like that. but then of course im also the kind of guy that wouldnt have let the damn thing sit and rot for so many years. id rather ride it like it was ment to be ridden |

I'm just curious.... My 1990 RS1200 says Buell Motor Company on the tank but this RR says Buell American Motorcycles on the tank. Which one is correct? |

If The picture and description is correct then the blister in the clear won't be much of a problem. I have actually restored two of these RR tanks with the same problem and was able to feather edge the clear and re-clearcoat the tank. I wish I had the funds, I'd be parking that next to the Vic in a heartbeat. |

The company that built those bikes was Buell Motor Company as opposed to the current company which is Buell Motorcycle Company. Buell American Motorcycles was the tank badge because folks did not know what it was, Erik was tired of hearing "Buell, thats one of them German bikes". |

Is this the same one that was on display in the auto museum in Newton a few years back? Paramount H-D brought out a bunch of bikes for that as I recall. Erik and Cour were there that night. I got a pic with them to prove it |

I know the owner and it's a pristine example. He was involved with Buell owners groups many moons ago. He now works at Larz Anderson and was the one who arranged for Erik's visit. The bike is a sterling example. Restraint. |

I bet a whole book could be done (a "bible" book like Ian Falloon does on the pasta bikes....) on the RR1000/1200, RS/RSS and maybe also the S2. |
