Why is that a "Buell Chopper" and not a "Sportster Chopper?"

I mean, what makes it a Buell? The front brake??

The kit uses the Buell Thunderstorm motor, Buell forks, Buell six piston caliper and Buell rear caliper it could use buell wheels but this chap decided to go with something else.

A bit of the confederate look. I'd have to see more pics but it doesn't look bad.

Not bad. Exhaust looks a bit amateurish. Left side pipe looks like it could be quite a knee and crotch cooker.

F*ckin-A, Jaimic....I'm with you- It's another Sportster chop that happens to use Buell forks, but could use any, frankly.

The frame, being a full-cradle that disintegrates the Buell engine/frame interface, makes this chop NO Buell.

Neat little Sporty Chop, I'd be glad to ride it, but it's No Buell

next....

I like it, Buell or Sportster.

But...

It needs a big round old fashioned headlight like the tubers have. The pencilbeam projectors are just tech for tech's sake IMHO. They make it look unfinished.

And I agree about the exhaust...should be curvy. It clashes with the rest of the bike's lines.

I like it.

When it comes to tubers, is there that much difference between the Sporty motor and the Tuber motor?

Forgive my ignorance.

With all of the custom work they left the fender mounts for the stock front fender.

About 35 RWHP is the only difference.

I know.... forgive me, but I have recently had blasfemis (spelling?) thoughts of putting my S1W motor, forks and whatever else would fit on a stock sportster frame for a cafe style look...

But... I just can't bring myself to undue a perfectly good Buell!!! If I ever have the $$ and find an S1W with a wrecked frame, it may be a different story....

Understood, but externally is there much of a difference?

FT-Bstrd- there is, externally, aside from mounting tabs, no difference-
as I said, above, though, the engine-integrated mounting interface that makes a Buell a Buell is absent from the custom subjected in this thread.

If it's cradled and not arboured, it's just a custom Sporty
not that there's anything wrong with that....

Understood. Thanks.

I would consider any "chopper" a more Sporty type mounting system.

In that a "Buell Chopper", to me, would be more HD type of mounting utilizing Buell engine and suspension and wheel components.

In that, I agree, it's a "Buell Chopper".

Mass centralization indeed.

I like it but would have to make changes for rideability - some slim fenders and little blinkers and some shiny switchgear to match, and a swoopy exhaust cause that one looks pretty klonky, maybe it was a attempt to accent all the cnc'd stuff?

Hell Kitten, that's good Tramp, kinda cute
