We had a few books left over, and so before we let them leave for the night, we dragged them down to the basement. . . Well, the details are unimportant. It is good to see a dealership with a variety of stuff. Not just a couple the leftovers from the last two years hanging around in sizes nobody wears. I unfortunately have never been to Liberty, but a significant portion of my Buell clothing now has their logo... Court - Sorry, but I don't feel bad for you. Couldn't find one so I was forced to take a few demo rides :-) WELL I'm glad you got to ride anyway - I think the few folks who came on Sunday got their "money's worth" so to speak. Hard to compete with Rolling Thunder. We had the books downstairs still, hidden, for some reason. Not the best way to sell things, it turns out. Not just a couple the leftovers from the last two years hanging around in sizes nobody wears. Well, we don't JUST have that stuff. Damn . . .I just went to that website and found 3 more "must have" . . . 2 shirts and a jacket. This really sucks to have a dealer who actually has this stuff in stock . . . I've long told dealers . . "ya gotta have it to sell it". I spent two months with a dealer once. They didn't want to invest in any Buell merchandise. I, to make a point, brought in a dozen Buell manuals and put them on a shelf. They'd NEVER sold a Buell manual. All 12 sold in 5 weeks. Amazes me that I, a construction guy, had to tell a retailer this. First we covet what we see. | ||

My "25 Years of Buell" book was waiting outside my door when I got home from a late meeting... Thanks Court and Dave for keeping me up until 2:30AM!!!! I could not put the book down. I knew that Buell had a tough time starting out but I didn't realize how many other 'issues' Erik had to deal with... (just had to refrain myself from writing about them for obvious reasons) Thanks so much for writing this book!! This history needed to be documented. Great work!!! | ||

Jespo, glad you liked it. It was fun to write although some of those hard times were a littlw painful to remember. Less so then actaully watching Erik go thorugh them of ocurse and the ending, so far, is pretty good | ||

Great story with AWESOME photography! Now I can stop looking at the Harley books to see only a one or two page "blurb" on Buell history. After reading this it seems hard to believe that the company even exists... | ||
