(This is a duplicate post from Storm Fronts...) Hey folks- I am planning to head to TWO either Wednesday AM or Thursday AM. I've taken essentially the whole week off, damn the torpedoes. Who's coming thru Maryville TN, and when? If there's a large enough pack on either of these beautiful mornings (10/1, 10/2), I might persuade my kitchen guy at the Shed to fix breffix again. Post or PM me so I can get a headcount. At the least, I'd sure like to have one or two Buell buddies to make the ride down! Lemme know!! | ||

I'll be there late Friday night. I ordered those HID lightbulbs - if they come in before Thursday I might try to put them in the bike. Or not - I'd hate to deadline the Uly by screwing up the wiring. Maybe I'll bring them with me and some of you electrical wizards can help me... | ||

Gas: Jwnsc called around today- 3 stations in Dahlonega were out but hope for gas tomorrow. The Suches General Store is out. From what I could find on the net, gas supplies should be catching back up in the next week or the next month, depending on who you believe. Considering they're doing KTM demos, we're showing up, and the usual crop of weekend riders that will be there, I sure hope there's plenty of gas there by Friday. | ||

I hope to be in by noon Friday. Make'n like a trailer queen this trip. Wife is bringing her Blast to be touring the area. Should be fun, I have never really seen the area except for lean left, lean right, throttle on, brake hard, repeat. We are staying at a cabin about two miles out, we will be visiting the campfires at TWO since we can get back in the cage (with a designated driver of course).       | ||

HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!! I just read an article in from today's Dalonaga Nuggett stating that nearly all the gas stations in Lumpkin County were out of gas!!! If the situation has not improved by Thursday, I'll not be going... | ||

Who knows the best way to track fuel availability to and from TWO? This seems to work pretty well: http://www.georgiagasprices.com You can check gas price reports and when they were posted to get an idea of how recently the stations had gas. No report for Suches but there are for most other towns in GA. | ||

Gas is iffy here in Chattanooga for anybody coming through. You can find it, but sometimes you have to scout around. Lots of bagged nozzles! Things are not looking just spiffy for getting there myself. Besides other complications we're down to one Blast and one truck. Politic'n for at least a little visit though!! |
