I looked at a Expedition this morning a car lot friend of mine "found" for me. I would've bought it on the spot had it not been "puke green" the worst part, cause I could've painted the outside in a camo pattern with it already being green was the green interior. I just couldn't do it. Told him to keep looking for one in a different color for me.

You will be able to print up a coupon for a free t-shirt.

I guess if we cant have the Revo powered XB just yet, then a free t-shirt is pretty cool too.

And what purpose would that have served? Get peoples hopes up for something really earth shattering only to be let down?

Prefer to be straight shooting & no bs when it comes to this stuff.

Jim,
It's probably based on CST as that's where Buell is but I could be wrong.
How's everything going for you out there?

Kevyn,
Any other dealers near you? I still can't believe they did all that just to give away some pucks. Let me know.

>>>>he left me a voice mail at work saying that he'd seen a baby-puke green caddy with Iowa plates, and that this sighting somehow reminded him of ME! . . . . with input likew that, you can understand why I'm looking forward to reading the book!

See.....without the tangent, the story falls apart.
:)

I think Buell is doing some really neat things. Cut the pie how you will, they are on track for nearly everything Buell owners have been asking for over the past couple years.

It can't all be done in a day. There are bueracracies and priorities, but what a neat job they are doing of really listening.

Certainly, in the world of motorcycles, "different in every sense".

I'm very pleased.

Chrome cup holders for XB models

Buy one XB, Get one Free!

Coupon good for a "Born to Kill" tattoo or fringed chaps.

Pics of a young Erik Buell on a top secret prototype Schwinn.

"Slay the Dragon III" featuring a real live dragon, to be bludgeoned with old tube-frame parts

I know Buell is really listening, so I'll say it one more time,"I want a successor to the S3-T!". I told Erik, I told Henry Duga, I've posted it here a few times, I'll tell ANYONE who'll listen. And no, Dyna, I don't want it powered by the V-Scrod engine. I LIKE air cooled pushrod motors.

ya know what'd be cool? with your free T-shirt you get an entry to the "Spend the Weekend Riding with Erik Buell & Court Canfield" contest!

the Hooligan who best explains, in a couple hundred words or less, why he or she deserves to spend a weekend riding with Erik & Court...wins!

you get to invite ten of your friends. BMC picks up the tab, provides the bikes (all brand new 12's, natch), and sets up the gig for a warm summer month in a locale with an abundance of twisties.

the "meet 'n greet" is Friday night, at some upscale yet rustic, cozy, perched high-in-the-mountains-on-the-banks-of-a-rustling-stream motel, with fine food, fine wine, and fine conversation. Erik shows up slightly fashionably late (wearing his favorite jeans and worn out tennies), because of last minute details to tend to at the plant. Court, in the meantime, has held Court, and when Erik finally strides into the room, The Place Is Ready!! :)

Saturday morning at 0900 everyone launches, Erik on point, Court at his 4 o'clock, and the winner and his/her buds in close formation. everyone's cool, no antics, no agendas, just 300 or so miles of twisting the grips on East Troy's finest and forgetting all about reality or anything remotely resembling it.

Saturday night, at another rustic yet posh mountain-top lodge, let the bull-shittin' begin! Erik starts the festivities, regaling everyone with his riches to rags to riches story, which primes Court (like he NEEDS priming...), who at some point takes over the microphone (like he NEEDS a microphone...) and proceeds to spend the rest of the night (until, say, about four or so the next morning) doing what he does best :)

Sunday is VERY casual, as there are some hurtin' heads that need mending. along about noon the fleet rolls out. the winner of the contest gets to take turns runnin' point this afternoon, with Erik and Court alternating as their wing man. the ride is shorter today, less technical, but still mondo fun, just a bunch of Hooligans enjoying life, sense, passion, camaraderie, and torque.

at dusk the group gathers for one last group photo, one last reminder of the weekend of a lifetime. the winner of the contest is presented a new Buell helmet, signed, of course, by Erik and Court, and is featured in Fuell and on Buell.com.

and then doesn’t sleep for a week ;)
-----------------------------------------
Erik, if you’re listening, congrats on who you are and what you’re accomplishing. you’ve got a lot of fans out here, and a lot of friends.

i’m proud to be one of them.

Ferris

Ferris-
Good job, but man, you either have a desk job as an accountant where you have to be at your computer long enough to dream and type that up, or you need to get out and ride. But, if the contest does happen, thanks to you, where do I send my essay?
Great dream you just gave me.
I shall go back to my homework now

Bikes are size small, shirts are size large. Cool!

I guess I'm just jaded, I wouldn't rate a tee shirt as a 7. Hell, Auto Zone gives away free tee shirts.
