Keep an eye out for local and/or regional car shows. Drive one (or more if you have other drivers) there and put a for sale sign in the window. Lots of collectors and people there interested in old cars. My dad and I used to get offers even though our cars weren't for sale, many were just kidding but some were quite serious.

I have a near mint '72 Mach-1... I doubt I've ever been to a mall in it and not come back out to see business cards or other notes offering to purchase the car.

Is the Jeep the extended bed J-6 ? Inquiring minds want to know. I have always had good luck with Hemmings, and more recently with Craigslist.

Gawd you hear some weird calls from people wanting to "trade" yadda yadda for it.
What part of CASH did you not understand?!?: |

I have always had good luck with ebay, backed up with a craigslist ad.

I will have to say though craigslist brings out all the weirdos.

Used to be Collectorcartraderonline or cctol,

I bought my old '68 Dodge pickup through cctol, you get worldwide coverage & mostly serious people.

Craigslist is running here but hasn't yet taken off big time, but I admit does seem to bring out some of the marginals in the sanity stakes.

Free local ads try Kijiji it's owned by ebay.

Email me some pics & details inc prices, I'll ask friends here if they're interested, dollars are cheap at the moment so you never know.

I have also had good success with Ebay, have lots of photos and be honest with your description. Folks aren't affraid to travel for a good deal.

The Del-Ray sounds interesting, post some photos if you can.

Your Suburban is a hot commodity in the midwest but it's too new for me, I'm desparately looking for a 56-59 for next project. Post some photos though.

This is the current shop car, '62 Biscayne, 400 sb, 4-speed, 4wdb, ps, pb, dropped spindles and springs (no bags!!), 17" & 18" Torq Thrusts, Ididit tilt, more to come!!

Between bikes, cars and memorabilila, I'll have to live to be 110 just to get caught up!! My screen name is Gearhead for a reason!!

I have a buddy whos dad is a Jeep collector. He might be interested in the forward control. But the year listed doesn't match the production run of FC Jeeps (1956-1965).

Any pictures? Price?

Send me an info at awinefan at hotmail dot com. I'll forward to my buddy.
