The address is:

There are some kickass, genuine soul-food spots very near there.

Much closer for me : )

I'm hoping to get down to the NYC one and see what its like. The original in Syracuse was a tiny joint.

>>>There are some kickass, genuine soul-food spots very near there.

That's an accurate statement. Part of the wonder of having 18,000+ licensed restaurants in town.

Let me check and see . . . sounds kinda fun.

Actually, Court, I'm referring to some of the outrageously great establishments of Harlem, my favourite section of NY.
Nothing like Chicken and pancakes.
I enjoyed outstanding Scandinavian fusion last night at "Aquavit" on E 55.

I agree.

Just completed a major project at 129th and Park Avenue and have never had a bad meal in the hood.

I leave Columbia 3 nights a week and drive 125th from Broadway to the FDR and it's always cool to see the action on 125th.

Fun place.

Hey- You work there, or take classes?
Gotta love Morningside park....
I was first turned on to the new age of Harlem by a "Black" m/c (Harlem Buccaneers) in the mid-90s, now i love the place.

...I think that's where Erik took me for dinner when we were riding home from the Carving the Northeast adventure years ago. I had ribs.

You work there, or take classes?

Both - student chasing another M.S. and teach a math class in the grade program.

Next question.

"grade" would of course been spelled "grad" had I been in the English Department . . . I'l leave it so we can have a thread devoted to spelling.

Darth,
Hey hows it going? Erik's out in San Fran these days, so I get to ride when I'm out west.

Did you guys ride there? That's 1/2 the experience

Court-
Next question:

At which campus are you teaching the grad program?
I have family working at Morningside campus, perhaps you've met.
That's great that you're instructing at an Ivy.
We should catch up, soon, as I'm there, frequently.

Of course we rode there...after sweating and swearing for an hour and a half trying to wedge that used Dunlop onto my rear rim so I'd actually have rubber enough to get home!

Well if you get stuck this was again, I have the Nomar changer. Most tires are under 8 minutes (off the bike) for a remove replace.

Less sweat, more Dino-time!

I'm no expert on NYC, but I am an expert on southern/soul food : )

Two of my Army buddies (they were both from NYC -- one is African American and the other is of Italian decent with a Polish family name -- I don't know how that works either) insisted that I must try the chow at The Pink Tea Cup, so we did and it was great!

Jestine's in Charleston is the only thing that tops it in my experience, but I'm more than willing to try others! : )

I sense you are hinting at something?

I guess if you are that curious you could just look at the Columbia staff directory online.

Bill-I'm not hinting at ANYTHING-
I'm at Morningside campus with great frequency, and would love to catch up with Court-
He's been VERY gracious with helping me with past Buell issues, as he is with every Bueller who contacts him.

Columbia has quite a few campuses.
I have their directories, in hard copy (You wouldn't believe the Columbia swag floating around this apartment), already.
