Well where do I begin?
I guess at the beginning,
I woke up a little later than expected this morning, but it was causal day at work so I threw on some jeans grabbed my badge and headed to the garage to fish MJ out of her home improvement supply cocoon.

Fire her up first time ride to work per normal route.

Take a small ride during lunch to fill her up with gas and grab a snack.

Was a slow day at work so no stress, grab my jacket and helmet and head home. Take the freeway cause I was making Sh#t on a Shingle for dinner and was excited!

Take the same everyday freeway route home I always do. Off the freeway down Main and 3 miles to the house.

The main road to my house is two lanes 40MPH. So if someone needs to make a left al cars pile behind till traffic clears and everyone proceeds.

Well I notice one of these log jams up ahead, so I start to slow down and BAM!
Exactly 0.8 miles from my lovely dinner of S.O.S. a mini van seemed to need the space I was occupying more than I did.

No breaks no squeal just 2 tons of mini van up my Spider-Hole!

Lucky the bike bucked my forward, I was in the air while MJ when down on her right. I kind of surfed on top of her for about 15 of the 20 odd feet I was thrown till friction got the best of her and slammed hard back first into the street.

Yet another Spider-Man helmet is toast : (
Back is Ok, the muscles are tight and sore but no bad JUJU on the X-ray. (got some meds for that : ) )

Grandpa, yes he was a grandpa, had his two young granddaughters in the van with him. I feel sorry for those kids. They will forever remember the day G-pa ran down Spider-Man on his motor bike.

Grandpa said to me first thing when he came running up to me that he was worried about the guy pushing the lawn mower on the side of the road and didn't see traffic stopping, he later changed his story to he was admiring my bike and well BAM! I agree with the cop that he was driving with his thumb up his A$$.

You can see here the tire marks followed by the scars in the road.

and here is a long view so you can see how far MJ slid. I went 5 feet past this.

He Definitely was!

I wrecked that minivan!

Poor poor MJ I still have to inspect and I don't even know where to begin : (

Crap man. Glad you're ok.

I bet if you had your purty pank panties on, he'd have noticed you.

Might have to add them to your ATGATT kit.

Look at it this way, it's an opportunity to do another ladybug fly screen!

My son says it's your fault BTW, people do seem to like squishing spiders after all (jk)

The real crime here is the broken rear fender/belt guard. I have loved that since
I first laid eyes on it, and now it's broken.

Glad you're ok! I've too toasted to many helmets to ever ride without one. When you hear/feel that thud and then realize your head is in one piece, you realize that was $$ well spent. Anyway you can get gramp's insurance to foot the bill for new spidey helmet.

Spidy,

You are one lucky... I was rear-ended in the F150 last Thursday and thankful it was a day I wasn't on the bike. Glad you're okay. That bike has nine lives. Save a few of them please! ; )

Matt has shown up in quite a few places of late. Glad he was riding with you today.

my thoughts and prayers are with you and mj for a speedy recovery. hope you get to put her back on the road. and we all know that it's not if but when.

you could have been like my brother inlaw when he went down to bike week with out my sister and picked up some college girl to ride around and when she show off her tata's to some guys on the side walk and the old guy in the car behind him let off of his breaks and rear ended them. try explaining that to the wife.

Maybe it's time for another round of Matt Ware stickers for sale!
Everyone could use that kind of luck.

Spidey, I was the dude with the blue XB who lit you guys up when it was time to set up the tent at March Badness. My wife really admires your bike, I've got a compressor, HVLP spray gun, a couple of years experience in a body shop and a two car garage in case you need any help... The header looks salvageable with some DOM and a good welder.

We have the technology, we can rebuild her...

Hell, the minivsn looks sad...

Damn Spidey! Glad you're ok.

I have to say this; MJ always gives as good as she gets. You need some "kill" logos of Harleys and minivans to go on her, fighter jet style.

Let us know if you can build MJ back again. I'll rummage though my spare parts box and see if there's anything I can donate to the cause.

I'm very sorry to hear of the crash Spiderman.I do not know you, except as a poster, but seeing these kind of crashes REALLY makes me angry.Angry that some people are so utterly inattentive to the responsibilities of occupying the road.

Grampa owes you nothing less than making your bike right.I'm glad you didn't suffer any lasting injuries.

Take care

Glad to hear that you weren't mashed up too bad.
