Last time I did any kind of video games on a serious level was with the first XBOX playing Project Gotham Racing and Halo (still my favorite of all time). Recently, we got a PS3 so we could play rock band, but mostly because it was probably the most cost-effective Blue Ray player on the market. Anyways, for my birthday, the girlfriend got me Grand Theft Auto IV and Assasin's Creed, both are supposed to be excellent. I'm kind of looking forward to trying them out and doing something different than the racing games I usually gravitate to. Anyone else into anything? | ||

I have played and beated Assassin's Creed.. EXCELLENT GAME!!! very open and very VERY addictive GTA 4 I am currently playing in my sparse spare time... taking my time in that one and doing my usual exploring and stealing of kwel cars, and bikes.. Enjoy the gaming my friend | ||

Here are the games My wife and I are currently playing . 360 = Guitar Hero (II,III), Lego Star Wars PS3 = Lego Indiana Jones, PAIN Wii = Boom Blox, Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, Smarty Pants And what I play.. PC = Portal. Treo = Bejeweled 2 But alas I have very little time to actually put any real time into them between $job, $kids, and house stuff. so maybe get to play 1/2 hour to hour per week if lucky  | ||

PS3 guy here. COD4 and GTAIV, but the past 2 week have been purely Metal Gear Solid 4, so sick. Also Bad Company is really good. The second release of Rock Band is in the works and coming out end of this year. It's supposed to have 80+ tracks, all masters. Additionally, any songs you previously bought will retro to the new game without redownload or other hassle. | ||

I've COD (a number of them) mostly in multiplayer with a friend. Is COD4 the one where the nuclear bomb is set off??? I have COD2 for my PC and finished it in 2 days. I can't wait for these new games on my new home theater system - 42" plasma and a Onkyo 7.1 system that you fine folks helped me decide on! | ||

recently traded all my old PS2 games in and got Grand Theft Auto VI (My PS2 bit the dust so I got a XBOX360). I wouldn't have paid full price, but it was only $25 after trade. I really wanted Metal Gear Solid but it's only available on PS3. I mostly like doing tricks and jumps on the bikes. Haven't been playing the storyline all that much. | ||

I got XBOX360 for Halo which is really cool. But if I had known that Metal Gear would only be on PS3 I would have got one instead. I just don't play enough to justify multiple systems and I don't have a HD tv so there's not much use for BlueRay. What good is amazing picture quality when it's filtered through a mediocre tv? | ||

NPS2, I was a huge Halo guy, but in the end, I decided to go with the PS3 just for the blu ray. I'm glad I did, I hear about this ring of death stuff and the failure of the HD disc losing to Blu Ray. Ahh yes Pinball is awesome. I have a Stern Lord of the Rings and Williams Demolition man in our gameroom downstairs. My wife and I regularly compete on high scores. (She is better at LOTR, I am better at DM). But tons and tons of fun. Too bad that it is becoming harder and harder to locate an actual arcade now-a-days, never mind one that actually has a pinball machine (DDR and Redemption stuff no problem, Pins == Rare). -Patrick | ||

The PS3 online is all free, and easy to connect. It is recommended that you have high speed internet and will auto configure. GT5 is just a "demo" but well worth the $30 IMO. The in car view on a large hd monitor is just plain sick! I also picked up the force feedback wheel and it really gives you the "I am driving" feel. The gas pedal is steady and the brake gets progressively harder as you press it like a real brake. | ||

I have a 360 and PS3. We have a group of gamers that meet up every 6 to 8 weeks for beer and ballistics. Favorite 360 games for gamenight are COD 4, Halo 3, Ghost Recon Adv. Warfighter, Gears of War. Try Halo 3 multiplayer with 25% gravity, 200% speed and just rocket launchers! If you're not howling and screaming in the first few minutes you're brain dead. 360 gamertag is Das Limpet. Fav PS3 games are Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, & MGS 4. Next purchase will be GRID & Battlefield BC. Fav weapon, any sniper rifle. Game on! | ||
