Decided to go poke around the Italian and British bike shop here in Vancouver and see what the others are up to. I never really took time to closely check out a Tuono, Shiver, Speed Triple, and all of the Moto Guzzi's. Have to say I don't see how people can think any of those bikes have anything over the aesthetics of an XB (S or R). I was surprised at how I was not remotely impressed. Mind you, I did have two double shots of Buellade before I went in but that really couldn't have clouded my judgment that much. Perhaps those bikes have to be fully flogged to appreciate. I have not ridden them so my judgment is purely on visual merits. |

My buddy, who just started riding last season and is now the proud owner of a beater '96 Katana 600, has declared my XB9R the 'sexiest bike around'; even after multiple trips through a local shop sporting Yamandazukisakis, Triumphs, and Ducatis. ...what can I say, the guy's got good taste! |

I guess it is just a matter of taste. I think that my Firebolt is a very sexxy machine, but I still drool all over the Italian machines when I see them. It is like rolling art. Beauty comes in many forms, enjoy it all. |

The three other Italians I have to agree are pretty dam nice. I know I would have some lust for a Brutale, I do lust for the Benelli Cafe and I do like all of the Ducs. I was a bit disappointed at the Tuono and the Speed triple after a much closer look. |
