Brum - Sacandaga is 20-30 minutes from lake george. You should stop over at least. |

Guys, just to get an idea - how long of rides are people going to want to do? I've been planning some routes that range from less than 2 hours to about 7 hours (all on roads I've ridden so I know they're good). |

I say we motor all day and come back late to piss the wives off! I bet we could do the seven hour route and be fine. |

Here's the ones I came up with: Short loop: for just a quick rip through some of the best roads up there - less than 2 hours.
Medium Loop: something a little longer, hits the same roads as the short loop, plus some good stuff along the west bank of Lake George - about 4 hours.
Southern Lakes: This has a lot of great roads and incredible scenery - about 6 hours.
Northern Lakes: Roads are very similar to the southern lakes, just some different areas - about 7 hours.
If we're only going to do a BIG ride one day, I'd probably combine the Southern and Northern lakes rides for you guys since I tried to not overlaop too many roads between those two for those that might do both. Anyways - just a starting point. I'm open to suggestions. I've ridden pretty much everything I've posted. |

if you are going to do the big ride, I would highly recommend you jump over RT 8 in speculator and then come down RT 10. The top part of Rt 10 is very very fun (Much better in my opinion then RT 30 between speculatora/ mayfield) Can just come back across rt 29. |

Pat - Yeah, I thought of that after I set it up - probably woudln't add too much time, either. I'm actually waiting on a guy to come buy a guitar from me, and then after that I'm headig up there to ride some of this stuff - it's been too long sice I've have a good ride. |

xl1200r: nice I jealous. My bike is stuck in the garage Literally. My garage door springs broke, and took out part of the rails with em. So I cannot open the door, an since it is an odd size 2-3 weeks to special order the new door. So enjoy the ride, looks like a nice day for it. I am going to try my darndest to get up and ride with you all. See how it pans out. -Patrick |

That's funny Mike. Yes there will be a "real" baby there. I should be bringing some kind of off-road bike/quad with me too. I won't be able to stay till Monday though. She just informed me that she has a Monday 8:30am class this semester. Here a couple of shots of the "real" baby.

So what's the plan for everything here? Schedule o' events? I can come up Saturday, but I'd need to leave early afternoon so I won't be able to do an all day ride. Just need to know if it's worth my time to show up or if everyone will be gone all day. Sunday I can come up all day, just not sure what folks are planning on doing. |

Me,Mike and Jim are going up Friday. I think Jim will get there earlier Friday than Me and Mike. Were riding Saturday morning. probably not to early. If you got to the cabin by 9,9:30 that would be good. Sean is coming up Saturday morning. Not sure about anyone else. I'm leaving Sunday afternoon. Mike and Jim are leaving Monday. |
