I'll be leaving to see it in just an hour or so. I've been waiting over thirty years for this movie. Now they just need to make a decent Captain America movie and I can die as a happy Marvel comic geek Soon the next Batman and Hulk movie will be out too! On edit: I was pleasntly surprised when I found out Downy Jr was cast as Tony Stark. He's a pretty versatile actor and I have a good feeling in my gut that he'll do the role justice. Awesome movie. The Batman and Hulk previews were great. Ed Norton was a really great choice for the Hulk |

Different actor plays the Hulk this time around tho. Small letdown for continuity sake. |

Fantastic movie! My movie buddies and I have come up with the Eragon scale. Eragon was the worst movie ever created. Every other movie is then rated relative to Eragon. Balls of Fury was a .5 meaning that it was only a half notch above the worst movie of all time. Pathfinder was a 1. The Mist was a solid 2. Anything above 5 is passable. Anything that is a 10, doesn't suck. This movie was a solid 10+ |

Just saw it and I have only one complaint. It's too short! I could have sat through another couple hours of it. When's the sequel coming out? I need more! |

Hey Fatty, how did you come up with a 2 for The Mist? That movie was outstanding...though the ending still hasn't settled with me yet. |

Ft bstrd, i don't think Eragon sucked.... while it isn't the best movie i have ever seen. it by far is not the worst movie off all time. Metalstorm, i agree with you. even know the movie is over 2 hours long i was not ready for it to be over either. i am thinking about going to see it again tonight...... come on sequel...... the movie has been out for one day now... we need a damn sequel and fast!....lol |

I agree on the Mist. I was the dissenting vote. The story was about the people, not about the monsters. If you went expecting a monster movie, you'd be disappointed. I didn't like the ending either not because it was bad but because it was so troubling. Eragon may not be the worst movie ever made, but it's close. The characters were 2 dimensional at best. The story line was uber thin, and the movie used every single cliche available. You can't tell me that the battle sequence was a suitable highpoint in the movie? I didn't read the book. The scale isn't fixed. If we come across a movie that is even worse than Eragon, the scale will be altered and it will become the "XYZ" scale. Street Kings was a 4.5. If you saw Point Break, you saw the full range of capability of Keanu and his character. They should have used Colin Ferrell or Ethan Hawke. |

If you compare the movie Eragon to the book Eragon then yes... it DEFINITELY sucked. However, Saphira looked EXACTLY as I pictured her... |

I read Eragon and was stoked when I heard there was going to be a movie. If you have never read the book you might have liked it but they butchered the story. Almost as bad as Queen of the Damned. My friend and I were nearly yelling at the screen in that one. I caught Eragon on HBO the other day just in time to hear the line "Into the sky, to win or die!" damn that makes me cringe. I don't think The Incredible Hulk is a continuation from the last movie but instead a totally separate and new adaptation. Different writers, actors, and director. I can't wait to go see Iron Man. I'll have to go next week since I'm working. Robert Downey Jr. is perfect to play Tony Stark, an intelligent, a$$hole-iss, playboy with an addiction problem. But from what I hear they're going to ignore Starks alcoholism. |

Oh, another movie, with Robert Downey, that I'm looking forward to is Tropic Thunder. He plays and actor playing a black man. The promo picture is just too awesome. "I know who I am! I'm dude playing a dude disguised as another dude!" Check out the preview http://www.tropicthunder.com/ |

"Eragon was the worst movie ever created. Every other movie is then rated relative to Eragon." For years, I used the Predator scale in the opposite way. All movies I saw were compared to the epic adventure featuring two future governers and Apollo Creed. I still use the Predator scale. I've been dragged to more than one chick flick and said...'It was OK. Not as good as Predator, though." |

Predator was the best! "I ain't got time to bleed" The later Predators really stunk though. In the first predator there was no explaination necessary. It was made clear by the action that the alien was on a hunting expedition similar to deer hunters from earth. Another classic was Alien. Man that was a supreme flick. Eragon was disappointing to me as well. I they had to explain too much in the movie to keep continuity. Sad. I can't wait to see Iron Man. I like to get the movie reviews here. They are a bit more real world to me... I wanted to see the Mist, (as I am a huge Stephen King fan)but I heard such mixed reviews, it got on my 'wait til it comes out on Cable' list. All I want to know is it 'purchase' worthy?(meaning, should I buy the dvd?) |

The Mist is kinda like 6th sense. Much of the value of the movie is not knowing the "secret". |

Speaking of crummy movies...How's about 'The Village" you wait around for an hour and a half just wating fo rsomething to happen....nothing. Lame. I liked sixth sense, but the Village(same director, etc...) was bad... |
