after taking the demo ride on the xt and came back so excited that i couldn't even figure out how to pull the thing in, the wife gave me the go ahead to either trade in or sell the nightster for an xt. now to see what kind of a deal i can get. i can see why uly owners love that bike.

Very clever wife, indeed.

You know, an understanding wife is a true blessing.

Mine, when I am dreaming about a new Buell, says:
" Well, if you really want it, I think you should get it"

Music to my ears. And recipe for a long good life together.

the past 26 yrs haven't been all rosey but the past 5 have been alright. she's happy either on her blast or on the back. and as many of you know, she is a good passenger. and since the daughter left for wisconsin, the wife says we might as well get something that will get used and i can certainly see me using that alot more than the cyclone or the ultra. i am so glad they came out with that bike. i still can't understand how that thing can take a corner so effortlessly.

and grumpy, my wife is a campbell also so she can't be that bad eh. also, how do you like the TT. you planning on setting it up like an xt.

Neverenuf, no I'm not going for the luggage but I got a dual seat kit thrown in on the deal so I expect I'll put that on, i'm told it's more comfortable too.

As for your missus, you'd better be good to her, as she & I are from the same clan!

havn't gotten the bike yet but i am doing some serious talking already. not wasting anytime doing it either.

torque, hang in there. it'll come around and i hope you get the chance to try that up there in granite mountain. best of luck to you.

thump, i'll check it when i get home tonight.

chad, there is a difference between trying the uly down in tampa and trying the uly up in suches. and at 5'8" the bike is still a tiny bit awkward but the way that thing handles on the road in those curves is unbelievable. i'm getting all giddy just thinkin about it.

grump, you never know who's related to you and how. hope you and the wife enjoy the tt since it'll be set up for two up riding.

Neil,

I'd recommend it. These Uly's are the nuts!

How did you like the power on that 1125? Wholly snikees!! 30 mph to 50 mph was less than a blip away!

My wife is great about the bikes too. Only problem is.....she can't afford all that she would allow me to get!

i'm not as excited about the 1125 as the xt, not by a long shot. although i'm sure the 1125 would be nice on a track the thrill i got from the xt was just to great.

looks like i'll be picking up my xt next weekend. although i came really close to getting the red one granite mountain had up at suches the dealer i have been dealing with for the past 7+ years gave me a good deal of which i really wasn't expecting. jerry down at granite was gonna gimme a tremendous deal on that bike so if anyone is interested, now is the time. i've already told barker about it and everything i've seen from up at mbv i'd say they are a force to be recond with with when it comes to customer satisfaction. next week at this time i expect to be coming back up from tampa on it.

just in these past couple of days have i never been more envious of someone with the uly. and to be jealous of an xt model when i've heard the standards are more comfortable, i don't understand that mark. but i think i can understand the have my cake and eat it to part. i'm sure the ride from wisconsin would have been a lot different on something else and even from new york or ohio. already got a gps, although i have to keep sandwich bags around to make it waterproof. can't justify 700 on the motorcycle friendly one. first mod will be the muffler. might have to take a weekend ride to see odie if he isn't to busy. after that it doesn't matter.

I like the seat height. I can put both feet flat on the ground.
No TPS reset
Heated grips
Better oiling system
Comes with Stradas
Comes with Bags
ITS NEW!

I want the 08 triple trees, springs and heated grips.
I just up graded the rear bearing to Koyo's but that wasn't by choice.

You will LOVE that bike! I know I do.

nothing like being in a little dept to ease a craving. daughters not around to enjoy the nightster so no sense in letting it sit down there when a better bike can be used up here a lot more.
